i've been looking up a lot of gaskets, but a lot of people have problems with felpro or geniune gaskets, and i waa wondering which gasket would be best with OEM gasket covers for 2004 coupe (VQ35DE)?

Most of the time, issues are with the installer, not the gasket.

Remove VC completely, CLEAN it thoroughly. Parts washer if you have it, brake cleaner followed by Dawn dish soap if you don't.

Apply a THIN layer of back RTV to the upper gasket surface and apply it to the VC, let it set up for an hour, add a thin layer to the lower surface, and install it on a CLEAN head (again, brake cleaner on a rag will do the trick).

Keep us posted, and welcome aboard!
