which body's fit the 1990 Hardbody?

Hi everyone,

I just picked up a 1990 hardbody P/U SE V6 4X4.

I am thinking about taking this on a repair project. The previous owner tapped a tree and bent the bumper/hood/side panel . . . . . . you might be able to see it in this pic: (there is a gap where the hood and side panel match up)



there is also rust (bubbling up the paint) on the back side panels above the wheels and a bit in the bed. Here's the side pic:

I needed a truck and bought this mainly as a daily driver and a bit of a work truck around my property. I've only had it a week, but I think that I might like it enough to try to fix her up a bit. I have found several trucks on craigslist in my area that I think would make good 'parts' trucks, but I am not sure what year(s) (if any) could be swapped out. -----so far I've found an '88, '93, '94.

I do not really need to replace the panel for the doors or the ext. cab so I don't think that it would matter if I bought a reg. cab or not.

Any one know which years are compatible with my truck???

All years between 1986 and 1997 will interchange with your truck. The only things that changed much were the cosmetics so if you want to swap bumpers old with new you will need to replace the bumper mounting brackets. Some of the trucks came with Pathfinder headlamps which require the buckets and grille be replaced. Other than that most parts will swap over easily. One last thing, 2wds and 4wds do not share the same fenders...the 4wd are bubbled out further to make room for bigger tires. Nice project you have there, let us know how we can help out.

Yeah, I'm putting a '91 Pathfinder on my '87 Street Fighter. Those are bubble out fenders so I can fit wider wheels and tires, too. It will fit.

yeah i wanted to do the same with my truck and change my grille and front bumper with that of the 97 version.. so the only thing i have to change is the bumper brackets.. if so let me know.. because im getting my truck painted and want to change that over.. thanks
