Okay I have decided it's pretty much impossible to find a decent DOHC S13 hatch with a 5 speed in the northeast. I've been combing a bunch of places, but I'm wondering if anyone knew of other places I should search at.

Here is where I'm looking already:

autotradercars.comebay motors (ugh...)NICO buy/sell/trade forumFresh Alloy Classified Forum The Bargain News (northeast classified publication)club240.com Classified Forum240sxforums.com For Sale and Wanted forum

...anything else? I know there's gotta be more around someplace. My s13 is somewhere waiting for me!

I really like our Buy/Sell/Trade forum.

The cars on there tend to be among the ebst maintained ones as they are mostly offered by members.Yes they wont always be local, but the right car might be worth a roadtrip.

And in the last few months we sold/bought several 240SX and Q45's.

Yes... BB Turbo, you check, isn't it like a disease? You can find the perfect car months before you actually get serious into buying one... urg... Now I'm going to check autotrader again, all because of this thread...edit: I'm checking 11 pages (search area was "any distance" most are within 1000 miles, kinda far, but yaknow) autotrader now, what's up with all these auto 240's? AGH!

people think that the autos are just as popular as manual 240s, which is a bunch of crap. $3000 for an auto 91 hatch with 120,000 miles? you got to be kiddin me...

Expand your search to any distance, if you think it's worth the drive. And I've found worse, someone claiming 240SX SE-R, and then showing a picture of a Sentra with stickers, then another one marked 240SX SE-R with a picture of an SE... where'd he get the R? morons...

Me and my freind went to look at a car on the internet that had a picture that made the car look real good. It said things in the description like "power everything" and it was a manual Hatchback. for $1500. Now i was a little suspicious but i didnt want to ruin things for him so we went out there to look at it. Well, it did have power everything, it was manual, and it was a hatch, but it had some other things that wernt listed in the description. for expample: it had a funny black quarterpannel that didn't fit (not in the picture of course), the popup lights were both broken, it had severe rusting problems (there were rust holes in the top of both strut towers painted over), half the lights didnt work, and it took the guy selling it about 5 minutes to get the car to start.

Although i bought my car though auto trader and its mighty fine. so you just have to look at as many cars as posible.

Found mine on Autotrader.com. Of all the sites I visited I liked that one the most. Mine was listed at $4300, bought it for $2000.

Ahh the ever lasting pursuit for that perfect 240 its a difficult road may seem hopeless at times but when you find that 240 its like your first girl friend all over again... saw about 6 240's before i found mine and i went to orange county, LA, Pacoima, and other places here in the IE. then at last i found mine 10 mins from my house here in rialto.. you non west coast guys might not know where that is but al those locations were about 1-3 hrs away. plus bumming off ridesdidn't make it anymore easier. but all in all its damn worth it.EDIT: forgot the main idea here i used http://www.auto.recycler.com just like me too. heh:D

OMG.. that car was a major POS! It looked so ill it almost made me want a junkyard car. You forgot the part about oil leaking from almost every side of the engine... :puke
