is the ca18de really identical to the det? cause i have seen picts from the intake manifold, and it seemed slightly different... and does it also have those nice metal gaskets between the block and exhaust manifold like the det version...

and i believe that the set for the ca18de doesnt incl. the 2 gaskets which are needed to connect the turbo?

thx for the help guys!

nick

btw, i'm from vienna in austria (a little country next to germany ) :-)

there are some differences w/ the manifold and such but IIRC the gaskets work.

you might try emailing courtesy nissan (www.courtesyparts.com) and see what it costs to have them ship you the parts you want, might be cheaper than the gouging you get there.

There won't be the turbo gaskets (turbo to exh manifold and turbo to downpipe) but the turbo to exh mani I think you can use from a Z32 or Z31 I forgot which (ordinary T25/T28 series gasket) and the back side IIRC there wasn't a US equivalent but its just a normal T25/T28 5 bolt gasket, I'm sure someone there can get them.. I think anyways

I can get you a set here in Canada and have it shipped to you.

Here are some prices of some gaskets that I got in the past

Valve cover gaskets are 15 dollars each (you need two)Valve cover half moon pieces 1.50 a piece (you need two)oil pan gaskets 3 dollars each (you need two, front and rear)Rear main crank seal 16 dollars oil pump 280 Water pump 65

Front main seal, camshaft seals total you need 3 of them, don't have the exact price, but I will say 10 dollars each to be on the safe side.intake gasket set rougly about 20 dollars headgasket roughly about 100 dollars

Total is around 550 dollars but that includes the oil pump, water pump and headgasket.

550 Canadian is roughly about 350euro, if you don't want the oil pump, water pump ,headgasket, just calcuate the above price.

not sure how much you guys can get the oil pump in the USA, any ideas, I find it pretty expensive for the oil pump here in CanadaRemember all the prices are in Canadian currency. If you are interested, I can buy it and have it shipped to you.

Don't recall off hand how much my oil pump was but I'm certain it was under $200 for sure. I have all the receipts for all the bits and peices but it'd take awhile to find.. once I have my car 100% for a bit I'm going to take the time to go through them all and see how much money I spent and on what

Holy crap!!! The reason no one answers you is because it has been said a million times that a pulsar CA18DE gasket set works. Any year CA18DE pulsar gasket set works. Does the everythingnissan.com gasket set work? Hell if I know. If no one has ordered it before we can't tell you 100%, but since CA18DE gasket sets are the one you need, it would make sense that that's the one you need!!!
