I second this, I also bought an S14 SR, super fair and nice guys. I had no problems and they don't lie about the mileage...if it has 113k miles they WILL tell you.

Got my front clip from http://www.mrJDM.com for 3,000. It took a month for me to get it because the clip came directly from japan. had to pay 300 for docking fees.

No other company can beat that price, and i made over $500 selling parts off the clip.

5 out of 5

my s14 sr20det that i ordered from japan star motors just arrived today, and i have to say that it looks to be in real good shape. very clean. shipping was great, everything was there, nothing broke or missing. Took 5 days to get here, which was nice. pulled the valve cover off before i went to work and it looks good. Hopefully within a week ill get it on my engine stand and take a look at the bottom end. I have a feeling everything will be all good though. I give them a 4 out of 5 for the time being. Lets hope they dont make me regret saying that. $2200.00 free shipping w/ liftgate

Received my SR20 from JDM-Online in Canada and Nesar gave me a great deal and helped me out a ton. I would give him a 4.5/5 because his email response was slow [email system was down?] and once I got it I emailed him a couple questions and he never responded, that was about 3 weeks ago.But I would definately reccommend JDM-Online, my motor was SUPER clean, check my thread if you want proof

Yo if you need an SR go here. http://WWW.EliteJDM.com. This is the only place you should be getting your motors from. The owner personally goes to Japan and test drives the cars he buys before they are parted out. He also is there helping the works part the cars out. He is over in Japan for 2 weeks sometimes more and he has never done anyone wrong before. Mention OrnageFreak and he should be able to hook you up!

He also has a forum site http://www.PhillyDrift.com that he runs. Check him out, at least to get a price. He has everything!

i can tell you, ive dealt with Jeff from heavy throttle, and still to this day even though he's closed up shop. i didnt do any swap other than a 5 speed swap, but ive gotten parts with him, met with him personally, even went to his house to pickup parts. great guy and very knowledgable. if you have any questions or need any advice he will help you and lead you to the cheapest route to do it. even now, his number is still on the site. i'd give him a 6 out of 5.

240sxmotoring i've heard great things about, not as much as heavy throttle but plenty of good things. from what people tell me, they're good for atleast a 4.5 out 5

and jdmracingmotors ive heard good things about as well, but they seem a lil overpriced. but from what ive heard from friends in plattsburgh, they get really clean low mileage motors and its well worth it.

i guess jdmracingmotors went down in price. they used to be hella expensive. id bet they still are on rb25+ and s15 sr20's, but if they're not, then damn, that's where i'd go for my motors if i needed any. way back when i was talkin to them about an rb25 or an rb26 w/ rb25 tranny and i remember they wanted like 1500-2k more than most other places. this was in 2004.

im looking at an SR20 now and ive been searching everywhere for a reputable place to buy from. i dont like buying one without seeing it first but im going to man up and just do it. in looking at japanese star motors and G-dimenson.com (reccomended by phase2) which would you choose? jap star has a red top for 1,900 and G has a s13 front clip for 2,350. i think shipping for a front clip would be a lot tho

Unless you know for a fact that Japanese Star is a great place to do business with, I'd go with G-Dimension. G-Dimension has the better reputation.

I got my engine from JHOT importers. I got an s14 SR for 2025, full engine set. The engine was in my s14, and I was driving around within 5 days. The engine runs really good, and was super clean. The extra stuff that came with my engine set was an HKS filter, fuel pump assembly, fuse box, 3in stainless down pipe, and stock intercooler stuff. JHOT is the best

I called JDMRacingMotors when I was scouting around, whoever I spoke to didn't seem to interested in getting any business that day, maybe I caught them at a bad time.

I don't think I've ever talked to the same person there twice... Which that tells me they are a decently large company.... That or they can't keep customer service employees??? Either way, a large company is usually large because it has a decent income because of constant buyers. The big question is are the constant buyers just one time customers that get screwed over or repeat customers because of great service and product?? My toss-up is between asapmotors and jdmracingmotors... I just HATE big decisions

http://www.EliteJDM.com 215-725-0490 or 1.888.RARE JDM... Give him a call since he is between websites and no motors on are on the site right now. This is his other site http://www.phillydrift.com/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=26 .

If you stop in the shop he will start up the motor and let it run for you before you buy it. He test drives the cars over in Japan before they are dismantled and he ships worldwide!

Don't get screwed by large companies that just thinks of you as a sale!

Call and get a price, don't be stupid!

It sounds good and all but the fact that you only have 4 posts and they are all advertising this guy's site kind of worries me a little. I mean given, this is only my 4th post but my 4 posts haven't been me trying to promote someone else's site and have people use me as a reference... Especially since we're suppose to use "orange freak" as a reference instead of your name... So this guy that you know personally knows you as your Forum Screen Name? Kindof weird. Most people say "Tell them Jeff sent you..." or something along those lines...

Tell him Joe his personal IT guy, friend, and many time customer for the past 8 years sent you. I just happend to come across this post when searching something else and I hate seeing people getting screwed and ripped off.

So think what you want and go with someone else to buy a motor but I just thought i'd help out the Nissan community. OrangeFreak is my id on his site http://www.PhillyDrift.com. He would know my name if you said that instead of just Joe. There is only a million Joe's out there.

Is that better?

That does make more sense. Thank you for your assistance...

I've seen a couple posts recommending jazzproparts... Their price is fantastic... Does anyone know anything bad about this company or are they good to deal with?

OK So somewhere here I found a reference to SR20store.com price is 2300 and like 300 shipping. Claims to check the engine before shipping it. Even going as far as to take pictures with the valve cover and oil pan removed and send them to you. So once again, I'm looking for the rumors... Thanks

This shop got a solid reputation in Montreal. Shop is clean, Wali the owner is great to talk with. Didn't heard a bad thing about them so far. Way better than OsakaMotor, that shop is total sh1t.

Noyausa.com. Great guy out of Chantilly, Va. They were quick When I called I talked to the same guy every time. And it came with a slightly used nismo clutch and pressure plate, and HKS plugs.
