I was out last night in Thumper looking for trouble. Thumper is my latest Skyline project, 1990 GTS-4, I call it Thumper because the diff bushings are bad and it "THUMPS" when I nail the go pedal. Anyway I am out at the spot with Yamaoni riding shotgun(ironic ain't it Oni?) when the cops come so we scramble and congregate at the designated "we wasn't doing nothing Mr. officer" spot.Here comes the F&F Eclipse to my glee. We have a Japanese dude rolling around in a red Eclipse vert with a big intercooler, huge GT wing and reproductions of the sticker on the Supra in F&F. I have always suspected he was a frontin little chump now was my chance to find out!I jumped in the bucket and took off after him. Now here is what Thumper has at the moment;

RB20DET, stock turbo with no water lines in place anymore set at 0.8 kilo of boost(stock is 0.7).I have a modified Pulsar GTi-R intercooler up front and a Blitz blowoff plumbed into the pipingThere is a GT-R fuel pump and Nismo regulator feeding dead dino through stock 370cc injectorsFull 75mm exhuast from the turbo back and i punched the cat, don't tell PETA

This is what I have, the Butt-dyno is feeling like 220hp

I get up on Paul's behind to announce my interest in pursuing vehicular fisticuffs. He kept his pace so I guess he is all show-no go, that's fine different strokes and all. I ease out an pass him slow and freindly. We come up to a T in the road where we are going to take the left. I watch him carefully knowing what he was going to do. I get in the right lane, he takes the left and starts to pull up next to me. as soon as his taillights pass my front bumper he stabs the throttle and takes off, well goes faster than he was it was kind of pathetic. I give the Skyline about 3/4 throttle and start reeling him in. Lo an behold who gets stuck at a red light:D Oh Paul you stepped in it ankle deep! He's got nothing, I know it and he knows it. He could have just went about his business but nooooo. I yell at him across oni and his passenger "welcome to my world *****"(the Eclipse only comes left handed wheel as it's an import here in Japan). I wind up the motor and set my launch RPM and wait for the light, it goes and I drop it "THUMP". He doesn't launch so I pull off the throttle and clutch in ready to parry his next move. As soon as he sees me let off he nails it, well I mean you know pushes his little pedal really hard. Now coasting in nuetral I hammer the gas and drop the clutch. He got to the door handle when all four feet on Thumper hazed and grabbed. He was staring at tails and muff by the the time I barked the paws into second. Oni hangs out the window and starts yelling "c'mon Paul hit the Naws"! while I extended a nice "you number 1" out mine with my middle finger. I racked up the gears and left him behind quite readily and finally settled into an 80mph cruising speed. He eases up on my rear with his high beams on. I waved him by and he kicked the gerbils into overdrive. I gave him one of those "go away" wave-offs and watched him drive off frustratedly into the night looking for a stereo sound off where he can be safe, Chump.

I just talked to someone who saw under the hood. Get this, it's an NA which sounds consistent with the glaring lack of sack it displayed last night. The kicker is the hugemongus intercooler is REAL!!!! It has no piping and of course no turbo to fill it. This guy dropped about a grand on an intercooler just to hang it in the front of his car for show. Each to his own I guess but it seems like a useless exercise to me.

that guy has ay too much time on his hands. all the retarded eclipse owners in nor cal lower it and buy a blow off valve and always feel the need for unwanted and un needed revs just to show off the woooosh. but thats all they have, so we take out my friends 3z tt and make them feel like soggy *******. its really fun :)

Yeah right, that's what went through my mind as i picked up the lastest issue of 5.0 mustang and see them take a handful of boltons and lay down a 12 with the new Mustang Mach 1. I want that car bad!

Too true, I came to that conclusion last year. I have the GTS4 on the road and putting the finishing touches on it. Once that is sold I have to turn to on the RX7 and get that one set up, inspected and ready to sell. After that I have to bring the hachi roku in and get it inspected. I will drive that while I get the big stick loaded into my Silvia and when the Silvia is done selll the hachiroku and drive the Silvia and start on the R30 Skyline. I would like to be at this point by the end of the year.

about $6000.00, I have an FC. The big stick is a 3.1 liter high comp L28 out of an old Z. It looks really intimidating in the Silvia. :evilhaha I should be able to pass everything but a gas station!

how much hp you expecting out of the L28? i know the stock L28, at least in the US 280z/zx it didn't put out much power.
