I found a 1991 Q45a model in the yard, and would love to remove the (from what I've heard here on NICO) the thicker rear sway bar to install on my ride for the added performance. However, I have no idea where the rear sway is and how it looks like (not mechanically inclined ). The pick-n-pull yeard requires that I remove the part myself, so is this something that is easy to remove and is it a DIY possibility? Any one has any sort of diagram to show me where it is?

Easy to remove.

Crawl under the rearend. It's a bar that runs perpendicular to the driveshaft (left to right) and has a bend at each end (bent towards the front of the car).

It SHOULD be the "lowest-hanging" item in the rear, about the thickness of your thumb. You'll see it.

Two U-shaped brackets hold it to the frame, and an endlink on each end. Make sure you get ALL the hardware with it (bolts, brackets, endlinks, bushings, nuts, cupwashers).

It is located IN FRONT of the axles, and mounts above the mufflers (resonators). You have to take off the rear muffler mount, and the resonator mounts. There should be enough flex in the rest of the exhaust system, to get the bar out.

I watched my a rear bar being installed, and as far as I can remember they only had to maybe drop the exhaust from it's hanger. Nothing came off, but it was on a lift.

Thats correct... The exhaust doesnt have to come down it just has to dangle a little...
