On my way to training for my new work the other day, I got off at my exit. I then turn down a 4 lane road where my new job lies off of. I was in the left lane approaching my work "minding my business, doing the spd. lmt." when this trashed out s13 pulls up next to me reving his fart can at me. It seemed to me he had cut springs b/c the ride was so very uneven, he had just the plain black fact. rims w/o the hubcaps, and he had a huge dent in his front driver side quarter pannel. At first I started to nod my head as a sign of respect to my fellow 240 owner but as soon as I began to nod he started to swerve a lil into my lane and began to floor it. The problem with that is that there were cars in front of both of us and he almost hit the one infront of him!! I let him go on his way acting all hard and whatnot while I safely pulled into my new job.

My problem with this moroooon is that he owns one of the most un-appreciated sports cars in the U.S. Market! I don't expect that from a fellow 240 owner, everyone else I have met that has a 240 has been really really cool.

Too bad this guy has the opportunity to own such a great vehicle! So remember guys, lets all just get along on here, we are ALL here for the same reason.......the RESPECT we have for our rides!!!! Have a great day u guys!!!

People where I live dont have any respect on their driving. I think the town has a speeding problem and reckless driving problem b/c some will speed and suarve in and out of traffic no blinkers no nothing and try to chop your car in half.

Overton County (TN) thinks our county Putnam(TN), is nothing but a bunch of smarta$$ people and I agree with them. A young girl who could barely see over her steering wheel, nice Maxima though, white etc etc....flew up on my bumper and when she went to pass me she bout took my car along with her, then cut this guy infront of me short and nearly took his fender off and almost hit to cars infront of him. I was running 70mph and she had to be doing 80+. The problem I seen was speeding, putting others in danger, couldnt see over the steering wheel :shocked2, was just asking for trouble and what sucks was no Trooper around to slap a big ticket on her. She couldnt stay in the lane either she was weaving like she was joy riding on a back road but wasnt, she was on a main road and p****ing some of us off b/c of her driving.

um yeah. so when i see a fellow 240 owner, i'll nod my head, or glance. i used to beep or give a thumbs up. that's about it.

the coolest experience ever was when i was pulling up to a 4-way stop sign intersection, and another S13 pulled up directly across from me. it was an older guy in a white fastback (91+ front bumper) and i have a white notchback, it was so bizzarre/coincidental i just had to give a thumbs up!! he smiled and went about his way. i thought it was so cool. hehehe. :D would've made a great picture

A couple nights ago i was at a gas station and saw a green 240 with dual n1, and a bomex body kit. Dont know what else was really done to it, but i was driving my integra. He came up to me, and was like wheres your 240. I told him it was sitting home in my garage, getting ready to do the swap. I guess he's seen me around, but he turned out to be pretty cool, and best of all the car wasn't all rice. The very few people i see driving 240's usually are cool. Now on the other hand just about every riced out car especially this one dsm always rev on me even if im in the teg in rush hour. This dsm is black with yellow stickers all over it. Has a big sticker on the back saying racing this care will cause extreme embaresement. I cant wait till i see him with my 240 next summer. :)

Lobot->What school did you go to??

I live in Putnam county all my life but 4years of it. I lived in LaVernge,TN when I was younger til about 4 or 5. My friends grip about traffic in Nashville saying I'd hate it, not really. I like the traffic down there better than here. My ex got hit by a 43 year old b/c she ran a readlight costing 5000bucks a damage to his front end she knocked off 40ft., I've had close calls b/c they can't drive right.

What is bad is I live in Putnam and I think it sucks like hell myself, but some drivers here from where I'm at Baxter can drive but majority of Putnam drivers cant drive. Majority all in Cookeville.

Cookeville schools dont like us Baxter people I guess b/c our school Upperman is consider one of the best up here. :D

Word, respect 240 drivers man . . if it's a mustang or a civic . .it's alright, but we're a community and we need to stick togethor and show the power of our 240's and our desire to tune them to infinitely incredible machines. I alawys honkor make a friendly gesture when I see a 240 driver . . sometimes they look at me and they think I'm crazy, but no one's really rude. And don't race on crouded highways for sure . .it's just not worth it.

~I HAVE A DREAM . .My dream of an evil legion of jet black 240's and silvia's with 500+hp on each, leaving immense clouds of smoke behind them and going around owning everyone . . .will come true.~

Another reason why I was posting this was because of lately we have had a lot of community problems, don't want to name them obviously but....we all just need to get along on here and respect everyone esle's opinions a lil more. I am not trying to sound like a dang mom or something but everyone on these forums came on for one reason.....love of the cars! Lets just all remember that when we get all fiered up over something next time. : )

why should i respect other people with 240s...because they have the same car as me? we're not defined by what we own, be it car..house... "Respect" no one based on that. making a hand gesture is different then "respecting" them... as the incident above indicates, any one can drive a 240. For all you know the guy you see with the 240 has bodies in the trunk. :)

Today I seen an Altima...yes nice and all. But, after it passed I seen a not so pleasant site....the car had bumper stickers covered half of the back window, the truck had stickers all over it, and the bumper :(

The car was so nice when it passed then on the back of the car it was just covered in all kinds of tacky stupid bumper stickers.

for the most part when i see fellow 240 owners they are generally very helpful and and when we see each other driving around its like seeing an old friend. beleive it or not even the byp guys are pretty nice when you meet them and they didnt mind letting me check out their. have you guys heard of the rotary s13 guy? hes pretty cool too a very aproachable guy although i haven't seen him in a while. this is one aspect of owning a 240 that i like the most because when you see the other car makes the people usually don't get along so well because they think everyone is trying to steal their ideas, especially those damn civic guys

The last statement I said about respect was to our little community here at NICO. The reason why people come to this internet site is for the appreciation of our cars. No one came here to purposely start confrontation with anyone, but with such a large group of diverse people opposing opinions are bound to happen. The reason why you, me, or anyone for that fact should show respect to others is b/c this community demands respect. We have a great thing going on here, and its due to respect. I just don't want to see this whole community go downhill while I am here, and I think it was a topic someone needed to address. I am not pointing fingers here at anyone, I am just asking people to be a lil more mindful before you get all fired up about something.

Now that I own a 240, I see them everywhere. I probably see about a dozen a day. Most of them are as stock as they were when they left the lot, and a bit the worse for wear. I have seen two nice ones though. A 180SX conversion in Mission Viejo, and a super dope, dark grey SR20DET powered S14 here in Long Beach.

I went to TTU for a year, But I live in Nashville at the moment, people up here can't drive either I had a guy run a stop sign Sunday on my way to church and plow into me. He didn't have insurance so I have to sue him. I hate moronic drivers....:(

Not completely true...there is a maroon S13 w/ nice body kit who just ordered an S14 blacktop from Heavy Throttle.

And, what about my rides???? :D
