Ok, that thing looks like it was salvaged from the Titanic. At that price, you could easily get a core that is bigger, more efficient, and obviously aesthetically pleasing. And pipes? You can get piping done for $150 or less from anyone who knows how to weld. Are people just that lazy that they would rather pay more for junk just for the ease of 'bolting it up'? ...I am curious to see what that ends at....

I can sell that in Japan for $300.00I use stuff like that all the time but pay like $100.00 for it. the core will fit anything and the pipes can go into the "box o pipes"

I was thinking of picking it up and putting a different core with the pipes. I don't weld well enough to run my own piping (though I'm trying it anyway) and I don't know anyone who welds. Actually, I don't know anyone who knows anyone who welds. Things are occasionally a little harder to put together when you live outside of the sun belt.

get some exhuast pipe stock from an auto parts place and a cheap arc welder and learn. You will;

a. get your piping done

b. only pay for materials and equipment (other's labor is an intangible)

c. you will learn a skill

d. others may come to you for their welding =$$$$

This is what I am doing, as I mentioned above. The first thing I've learned is that I should toss my flux mig setup and get something with a tank of gas. I was just considered buying the pipes to:

a) have a frame of reference.b) have some nice usable bends to modify.c) have a backup plan.

doing it yourself is good but I'd have to say doing intercooler pipes would be a ****ty introduction to welding unless you have a good bit of spare material and are not easily frustrated, cause I guarnatee the first time you do it they aren't going to be clean welds and they probably aren't going to be airtight.

anyway that intercooler with ca specific pipes is easily worth the price its at now, if I had that much I'd buy it.If someone on here buys it and doesn't use the stock piping let me know, I'd be interesting in picking up the piece that holds the add'tl injectors.
