I subscribe to http://www.emusic.com, http://www.purevolume.com, and sometimes itunes. I find a lot of new & interesting bands on emusic.

I sometimes download shows from WMSE.org. It's an independent radio station in Milwaukee WI, so the DJ's have a good bit more leeway with that they play.

Almost every up and coming artist has a myspace page also, but I hate that place. You tube is easier to be linked to something similar faster. I listen to shoutcast radio which plays other songs that aren't maxi/singles and has just about every genre.

+1 = putting all of your music collection into amazon will have amazon recommend music out to you - it's really good and I've found some great bands this way.

Of course, I use napster or something to listen before I buy...

If you like independent music as much as me, check out http://elbo.ws/ or http://music.minneapolisf***ingrocks.com/. they are my fav. blogs. I think blogs are the way to go no matter what kind of music you like. Just have to find one thats into your genre of music.

New place I figured out - http://www.pandora.com

The Music Genome Project is awesome - you will find tons of stuff based off your current music - it's awesome.
