When did Drag Racing go 4 lanes?

I must be totally out of the loop. I glanced up at a TV this weekend and the drag strip was 4 lanes. Crazy. Never seen that before. Nice track. I believe it is in Charlotte, NC.

Sure would make eliminations go faster.

Yes, its Zmax Dragway in Charlotte. Built a few years ago right beside Charlotte Motor Speedway. I went to a Pinks All Out there a couple years ago.

Was at Concord Mills (shopping center near CMS) and saw the blimp over the speedway.....later, found out my oldest was at the race....did you see him on TV???
He was the one that looked terrified!!!
Cause he's getting married in two weeks!!

I didn't have anything to participate with. Besides one guy with a S14, the only other Nissan product was a Z32 that made the field of 64 (high 9/low 10 second grouping).

If you like BPS, you will have to come to Memphis when they finish our new one. It is going to be in that big pyramid on the river. Supposed to have all kinds of cool stuff in it including a restaurant at the very top over looking the river.
