hi all i have an altima coupe 2.5

i don't know which 1 to get firstwheels or exhaust

this is what i've done so far (mostly on performance)dakota intakebuddy club voltage stablizercrank pullystillen S.Barangel eyesno body kit yet, was focusing on performance first.

cuz i don't want to be like..wow outside's so nice and inside = nothingand when ppl want to race me and i'll be like...drive away drive away... i rather be like outside looks original/stocky but when it comes to racing it's like omg omg omgkeeping it low profile.

anyways back on topic =)The wheels i have on right now is the stock 16" onesi mean they don't look bad but doesn't look good neithercuz the gaps' too big and bad cornering

there's this guy selling his (almost) brand new (off his altima, only been used for 100kilo or so) 18" volks racing wheels for 1200 ... OEM wheels i don't know if this is a good price or am i getting ripped off...?

and a niso exhuast is like 850+ after shipping/tax w/e is like 950+ and after installation (i don't have jack lift...so i can't do it myself T.T ) will be approx 1100

so now i'm stuck between these 2 options i don't know which 1 i should go for first.

i need some suggestions tyty =)

if i do get the wheels ...then i'l need lowering springs..eibach is like 250..after alignment and stuff it'll be like 350 ~400 ........moding car is an expensive hobby =(...

1200 for the OEM Volks (going to guess its the Nismo wheels in silver or gunmetal right?) is a bit much if it does not come with tires. I say get some other wheels if it is those because several people have them on here. I would go with something different.

I also say go with wheels first because it whats make the car look different and makes it more appealing than an exhaust. I also wouldnt go with the eibach because if you want a lower drop you will have to get coilover.

Wheels and a drop will make the biggest difference so i say go with those.

i'd say go for the wheels first. the wheels help a TON for handling compared to stock 16's. i installed racingline's rear sway bar and took it for a spin and my tires were screeching in pain. after i got new tires, i adjusted the sway bar to a stiffer setting and in the same corners pushing the car harder i didn't get any tire squeel and the car handled better.

but if you're looking for more power rather than handling, then go for the exhaust. it'll sound nicer and give you some extra oomf in your ride, but taht's up to you.

and also yay for more BC drivers. what color's your ride?

haha yea i'm in BC my car's whiteand it's cvt..sigh was gonna get manual but the dealer said there only the colour red that's avarible for manualbut don't like red...not on a coupe .. so....i give up manual for white =pi'm kinda glad tho cuz there's this SFR supercharger that's out and it's only for CVT coupe onli so that's kinda nice=)

thx for the advice.. so ig uess wheels first then..

and for the springs... should i just get lowering springs? or coilovers?...springs are 250 ~300 while coilovers are 1500~2000 T.T

Then that is a good price. Any pictures of the wheel?

Also coilover are $999 shipped. You can easily install these yourself because its pretty much straight forward. You will be much happier with coilover over springs.

http://www.bcracing-na.com/G37install.htm

Thats a link on how to install them, its for a G37 but its the same set up as us. The only step you need to skip is when installing the extender.

Forgot to mention if you do get BC Racing coilover you will have to get M12x1.25 Locking Nuts since the ones that came with it were bigger but they might correct this now since I mention that to circuit motorsport and they mention it to BCR.

Also Tein SS coilover should be coming out soon also but those might be a bit more.

Welcome another BC member! I too, would love to see those angel eyes.

I'd suggest going with wheels + tires first. Post pictures of the Volk wheels you're thinking about buying! What kind of tires do they come with?

Wow, another BC couper! COOL!

I agree with with wheel first, besides the handling gain, it makes your ride looks much much nicer! I am saving up for new wheels now as well... but it's gonna take a whil..

the nismo wheels are made by rays...not volk.

I would get the rims it seems like a great price. Check them out first make sure none were repaired or any curb rash on them. Wheels will cost way more then exhuast later. just tires alone can cost $1000.

+1 pics of the wheels

After I installed both springs and new wheels / tires, I went in for an alignment, and the report read that my toe-in was something like -5 degrees on both sides. I'd recommend an alignment after springs + wheels.

i would choose exhaust, since you like to stay low key, just get the exhaust, would be the way you want to go.

or

why don't you do a full suspension upgrade with whats available, stillen/racingline strut tower brace - $150ishstillen/racingline rear sway bar - $130-220ishracingline front and rear endlinks - groub buy going on now - $130/80 full priceeibach pro kit lowering springs - $280ish______________________________________________________________________all installed, final price for everything, probably like $1000_______(I just estimated off the top of my head)

with all of those you would probably save a lot more money and have soo much more fun with your car instead of getting just rims or just an exhaust.

i would do this only because winter is coming and I like to take care of my rims and they are coming off soon once i hear about the first snow warning.

so if you were to go with me, save your money for rims over the winter and with what you have now get those 4 upgrades and you will be one satisfied altima coupe driver.

i just ordered the new racingline rear sway bar, it's supposed to be amazing and i take mehdi's word for it!
