Ok I when I purchased my 86 300ZX it came with some Azura aftermarket rims along with the OEM wheels. The size? 18x9.5. I put them on the rear first and they look good. Went to put them in the front and found the rim kissing the strut. So my question is what size wheel spacers would I need to place this rims on the front axel?

well you said it's "kissing the frontstrut" is the wheel mounting surface flat against the hub? if so then you need the thinnest spacer you can find, 1/4"?

Well lets put it like this, the wheel wont go all the way on the hub because it contacts the front strut. I was thinking I would need a 2" space so when I lower the car off the jack stands, (where it has been sitting for three months) it will clear the top of the strut.

if you need a 2" spacer you got wheels that are n where near the correct offset, go get some wheels that fit

Sounds like no spacer, you'd need an adapter. Look on the inside of the rim and tell us what the offset is so we can tell you exactly how much you'd need. But my guess is that a 1" adapter would make them fit. They sound like Mustang wheels from your vague description so 1" won't get you completely flush but it will do until you can modify the car to run flush.

For the front on an 86 for the wheel to be flush you will want a +5 total offset with a 9.5" wide wheel. That will give flush with a 275/35r18 tire. If you want hella flush or to make it poke a little go with less offset say 0 to -10 offset and then stretch the tire.
