I want to get my trunk space back by removing the big subwoofer box in the trunk and putting hte subwoofer in the wheel well. I remember seeing banshee on here had that set up but dont know how to do it. Is there a way to do this without fiberglassing?

Fiberglass will yield the best results because you can make it form fitting. You want to utilize as much of the space as possible, so you don't short change your enclosure on volume which will effect the sound quality.

I think there would be plenty of volume in an mdf box, it would jsut have to be wide, the only issue is I am not sure if my sub would fit in a shallow box.

Specs say RE SE10 only needs 6" mounting depth.

Shortys408,

Wondering if you email me. If so sorry for delayed reply, just got time now to reply. I figure I would reply here. My wheel well box is 4 sides of MDF and the top also MDF. I used fiberglass to construct the bottom to match the well to keep the box from moving. I then make a fake floor with a 1/4" card board covered with carpet. I will put pictures if I can find them. I can take the box out but I rather not since I have to move my amps.

Thanks, the more info you can give me the better, I would like to try this without doing any fiberglass, is this feasible?
