I have a 02 sentra gxe 1.8L ... i got it 2 years ago after my mom decided she doesnt ever wants to drive. all i have done to it was was put some Motegi DP-6 17's, with toyo tires... I also want to put a body kit and some lowering springs on it. after that I should have $1.5k right now and i was wondering what can i do with that money to get the most power out of this car? where can i find cheap body kits and 1.5'' lowering springs?

Intake (though I think you have to mod a Spec piece), Hotshot has a header, but there's been trouble with emissions with it, catback... not much else out there for a 1.8.

Check our sponsors for body kits and springs.

Springs that will lower 1.5in will need new shocks. KYB GR2s or Koni yellows, the yellows are much better performance-wise, but it sounds like you just want aesthetics.

No internal mods are available.

You could swap a QR. I don't know specifics, but I'm quite certain that it'd be just as expensive as, if not moreso than, selling your 1.8 and picking up a used SE-R.

Make sure you run the SE-R VIN by a dealer for the recalls and such, there's a sticky about it.

Yeah there is not a lot of stuff out there for the 1.8L motor. As far as aesthetics you can find lots of things like body kits and so forth for it.

Supension wise there is a lot of choices as well. If you want cheap and decent quality I would go with Tein lowering springs. If you are going to replace your dampers as well with the lowering springs just go ahead and get some full coilovers cause they will be the same price as your springs/dampers combo. I have heard nice things about the KSport setup and you can also get the Tein coilovers for around a grand.

A lot of people are swapping B15s over with SR20DETs and VQ motors as well so those are possibilities as well if you want to do a motor swap.

The 1.8 has a weird O2 sensor setup, as long as it has all 4 bungs or whatever nonsense is necessary and you have the patience to make sure to connect them back the right way, you're set.

TEIN has a coilover setup for under $1k. Most B15 owners rate it at no better than a Koni/Eibach shock/spring combo, and the price is about equal (shocks/springs ran me about $650).

However, it appears that Sport Compact Only now carries K-Sports, which used to be very hard to get ahold of. I've hear good things after the first batch came over to the US. They're a little more expensive, but they've got more adjustability and potential.

Yeah any suspension setup for any B15 Sentra (00-06) will work on your car.

This will be your smartest move.If you decide to modify your 1.8 (for mega bucks and tons of time), you may just have enough power to keep up to a stock SE-R. It's not worth it, in my opinion.Good luck.

Spec intakes just need a MAF adapter you can get at Autozone to fit. There's a write up about it (the intake used was a NISMO) somewhere in Sentra Gen that you can search for.
