Whats the most ghetto turbo setup you've ever seen?

Information on the naturally-aspirated KA24E and KA24DE engines.

Leafblower setup = fit the leafblower to your intake

It's real easy and cheap. Plus it will rob you of horsepower. Now go steal the neighbor's leafblower, and spend that 13bucks on duct tape and zipties! Post pics!

Im talking about a setup that actually DOES SOMETHING FOR YA!

Something that actually works, just... like... an intercooler jacked out of a old benz, a turbo from something else, you know, parts here and there that I could find at Pick-a-Part ;)

The award would go to this:

BTW, this is the one I was running on the car after I bought it. I got the car as a good deal and looked to clean it up. This is probably the most ultraghetto turbo setup ever

Wiring and lines all over the placeT3 from saab 9000 with rebuild kitsr20 Intake & greddy sr20 intercooler piping w/o intercoolerS14 Greddy Exhaustmanifold from god-knows-whereturbo right next to mafstock fuel setup

It's only saving grace is the tial 35mm wastegate with a 6 psi spring. Only way to make it more ghetto would be to use a dsm bpv and the stock internal wastegate/actuator.

BTW, this setup is currently being cleaned up by nsport, along with a new jgs mani, new dp, and a couple of other things.

someone was trying to put together a complete turbo kit on here before for under $500. It was beyond hilarious!

you really save a lot if you do as much as you can by yourself. my goal was to keep mine under $1000, but now it looks like around $1500, and i think mines pretty decent. i got a brand new XS t3/t04e off ebay for $385, new 35mm tial wastegate, custom manifold, IC from the junkyard, manual boost cont. 1st gen dsm bov. walbro f/p, fmu, retard my timing a few deg., and all the piping and downpipe i will do custom. i want to run around 4psi daily and turn it up to a max of 7psi occasionally. when i get the money later i want to get bigger injectors and either piggyback or jwt ecu, or im thinking about the hacked MAFS.

I have found tape. I repeat, I have found tape on some wires. Now I am the official and undefeatable king of ghetto boost! :D
