Ah! I thought it had a depth I had not seen on the street. I guess I have not seen an '08 in that color, or not been paying attention.audtatious wrote:

If you swap seats it could be quite expensive. you can always contact katzkin.com to see what they have to recover the factory seats. You can watch ebay as well for interior pieces. I have considered swapping my tan carpet to black and leaving the seats tan. It would still match as the dash is black and the doors are 1/2 black. Will cover stains/dirt better that way.onebadg35 wrote:i thought about it also just cause i still have the big infinity badge from the back..... hmmi also was thinking about doing a interior swap.... im more of a black type of guy and i got the light tan now..... anyone ever done anything with inerior swaps? think its expensive?
Aud, I think that would really look good. Just remember, black shows lots of debris (dead grass/leaves etc) and long blond hairs.audtatious wrote:I have considered swapping my tan carpet to black and leaving the seats tan. I think you all know that I am a huge de-badging fan. I got behind an Avalon the other day. It was a black one. The guy had de-badged the AVALON letters. I was really impressed that someone that would buy that kind of car even cared! All that was left was the Toyota T and it really looked nice and clean.kmckis1029 wrote:looks much better clean of those stickers, the debagding looks good too. but the badges never bother me, just the dealer badges LOL
The tan, at least in the 2011, is terrible for showing soil, and can't be gotten entirely clean from many types of dirt. My floormats are toast, although they've held up to wear better than I expected from what they looked like after a few months.370Z/28 wrote:audtatious wrote:Just remember, black shows lots of debris (dead grass/leaves etc) and long blond hairs.I have to take my floor mats out all the time and bang them together to clean them. Seems like as soon as you get back in it crap is on the mats.
I think what's sticking is oily blacktop residue. I've tried scrubbing with Dawn, orange cleaner, Grease Lightning, you name it. I have some TSP from a painting project that I may try this weekend.370Z/28 wrote:I tell you how I would do Rambo's mats, cause they are light gray. I would lay them on the ground and get them wet with the hose then SCRUB them with Dawn and a large stiff brush. It takes a good while to get all the soap out and a good while for them to dry, but they would look brand new after that.

I prefer the tan/blonde look, but my black interior cars have always been easier to keep clean. They show mud/debris, but all you have to do is vacuum them out. I have to use cleaner on seats and carpets fairly regularly.
You would need a vinyl spray paint.onebadg35 wrote:anyone ever used the spray die for the fake leather in our cars lol doors not seats obvesly. i wanna change my interior to all black and i can get seats but door panals and rear compartment peices are harder to come by. any suggestins?
