What about wheels that are 18x7.5 with (+45). Will it work? and what is my range in tires?

I know 7.5 is on the smaller side and with the (+45) my wheels will look a little "sunken" (can't be worse than stock), but those are the only 18's they make, and I really like the wheel.

Thanks for help!!!!
stock is 17x7.5+45 so yeah it will work

OK so I did a little more research on the wheels that I want it and it turns out they do make them with +35 offset. The wheels that they recommend are 245/45/18, I plan on lowering (eibach pro-kit) my car. Will this size nicely fill the wheel wells? I’ve noticed that some tires make the wheel look like their 15 inches, when in fact the wheel size is 18.

The help is greatly appreciated…you guys are great!!

Hey guys,

I'm new to the forum and I have a question about tire size and clearance hopefully someone can help me out.

I'm probably one of the only ones rolling on a 2005 Altima 3.5SE in this thread and hopefully i posted in the right section.

I purchased a set of the Nismo Maxima 19 inchers.

19" x 8.5" +35 offset 114.3mm/5

I'm thinking of going with 245/40/19 or 245/35/19 Yokohama's with an Eibach pro-kit drop.

My OEM size is 215/55/17 (not sure what the rim width or offset is). The difference between the OEM size and the 245/35/19's is -2.1%...with my stock set up i have about 2 fingers of clearance or about an 1" or so.

Do you guys think i will have any issues with rubbing?

I'm a total n00b so any information you give me will help.

I am looking to buy the Axis Elite wheels and i was wondering if i should go with 19s or will the 20s fit. i would prefer the 20s but dont know if they will fit. i believe they are 20x9. i have 2.5 coupe, so what size tires would be best for each. thanks.

wheels are 45 offset

when i got my 2.5, the dealer had put the 18" 2009 maxima wheels on it with 245/45R18 tires. i found that if you turn the wheel to extreme left or right it will slightly rub (or sounds like it) the specs for the wheel itself are 18x8, not sure of the offset but i think i read it somewhere as 50 (that does not sound right at all)

What's a good tire size for a 19x9.5 rim? would 235/35/19's work well?

I am looking at getting rims for my 08 3.5SE coupe...thes ones i want are the XXR 518 19x8.5 lug pattern 5x114.3 they have the option of letting me select an offset of +30, +43, +48...im a little confused on what offset exactly is and how it affects my car on the way it rides, i know if its messed up it can rub..

will these rims fit? will i need to buy hub spacers? whats the best tire to put on to avoid any of the problems that ive been reading in this post?

Thanks

I have 245/45/18 tires on se maxima wheels(05) on an 04 altima. No problems at all right now, but if I drop with eibachs or teins, am I gonna have any rubbing issues?

I have 15" Borbet rims and snow tires (with tons of tread left) from an older Maxima . Bolt pattern is the same as the 2007 Altima's. Tire diameter will be only slightly different (2% off on the speedometer readings).

But will the 15" rims clear the rotors and pads?

Yes, I could try them out, but I won't be picking up the Altima for another couple of weeks and I need to sell my old Maxima in the mean time (and figure out whether to throw the snow tires and rims into the deal). Thanks for the help!

I'm leaning towards yes... If they fit the Max's brakes, then they should fit the Altima's. More important than the 15" would be the offset and width; these will help determine if there is enough clearance for the calipers.

Thanks for the input. The reason for my worry is that the old Maxima (1995-1999) comes with 15" rims on the base model, while the Altima is designed around 16" rims for the lowest model. If a 15" rim of any kind will fit on the Altima, then I'd guess that the Borbet's would fit, since aftermarket rims are designed to fit a wide variety of hubs (with a spacer/centering ring of course). But I could be completely wrong on this. My knowledge of these things is pretty limited...

Would any 15" rim fit? Or are the brakes on this car significantly bigger than on my old-school maxima, which was designed around 15" wheels? I presume I'll need a spacer, like on the maxima, which has a 40mm stock offset for its stock 15" x 6.5" rims.

Rim Specs:

"Borbet type H", 15x7 5x114.5 bolt pattern and have a 35mm offset.

I'm about to repeat the same questions as everyone else, so I'll be quick. I'm new to this game as well.

- I want to do an Eibach drop. 19x8 5Zigen Hyper 5zr wheels, 235/40/19 tires.

Offset options are as follows - 45, 38, 33, 25, or 23mm

Which offset would be optimal for putting the wheels just shy of flush with the fender? I want ZERO rubbing so I'm trying to do all my hw. Thanks!

+40mm, without a question.

You will definitely be fine with a +45mm offset, like stock, using either a 234/40 or 245/35 in 19. If you were to use a +38 and then drop your car, you might face some rubbing concerns.

Offset? You will have great difficulty trying to get a 10" wheel under there unless you're on a stock suspension, roll on skinny rubber, and have a high positive offset.

So... I'm feeling sorta lazy to sift through the posts... but I was wondering if a rim size 18x9" would fit on the A/C if I have the Eibach drop... and also what size rubber would I be looking at for this set?

I found a set of super rare Mille Miglia EV-S but they only have them in that size... and they're so cheap cuz it's being discontinued!

The tire/rim combination I'll be using is 225 50 ZR17 94W/17 X 7.

Any concerns with that combo?I did the research last fall when I bought them.Just double checking, thanks.
