i dont really know for sure what you asking...but if you wanna know what car its from, its def not from an altima bc the motor is facing sideways for rwd car rather than front to back(header shows in front) for fwd cars

Its out of a S13 its a ka24e

sorry about that they are right it is a ka24de at the time i could only see the intake and throttle body

^ dude, get ur facts right..1st off, it says twin cam(meaning 2) right on the valve cover...so its a DE2nd..try not to post false and nonsense info such as that when ur not sure of what ur saying

as far as 240sx or not, still not sure...does look like s13 but some things are different in the pic than my motor in my car and i have s13 too lol

only s14's had strut towers with those speed bump lookin things goin around them. also, the s14 uses that oil cap where as the s13 ka's used on that just looked like a circle. i have an s14 ka in my s13 so i know what they both look like.

^We cant judge based on that. The OP has another thread where he mentioned the previous owner installed a ka24de because i think the SR was giving too much problems. Its a Euro-spec 200sx.

okay then.... based on the fact that i have an s14 motor and the motor you have pictured here looks exactly like mine, i'd say it is in fact an s14 ka. i could be wrong but i'm just tellin you what my eyes are tellin me.

does the valve cover have 3 bolts or 2? I can only see two because some lines are in the way near the rear. If it has 3 then its a s14 ka and if its only 2 bolts its s13. Someone please confirm this.

It's from an S14, look where the coolant resevoir, headlights, air filter, and fuse box(etc.) are.

its an s14 motor....OBDII 96-98

i would say 1995...but some 95 motors are OBDI...

so just ask from 96-98

u can tell cuz of the distributer...and i bet if u take a pic of the rear of the valve cover there a bolt right in the middle of it too...also by the possitioning of the 2 bolts inbetween the spark plug wires

It is a S14 KA24DE because it has an internal coil.

its an s14 look at the head lights and u can tell from the air duct, coolant resovor, PS resovor, valve cover, maf..... etc etc

From what i can tell it's out of an s14 because of the look of the engine bay and things that are different from the s13 such as the plastic mafs.

If its a S14 KA24DE.

1. Plastic MAF instead of aluminium 2. OBDII and maybe OBDI S14 would have 2 O2 sensors.3. S14 KA24DE would have a crank sensor, back side of engine on top of trans bellhousing, has metal shield over it.4. Internal coil for distributor.

Those are the only differences I can think of, from top of my head. Besides S14 would have different ECM, ECM harness with plug, that would be PITA to convert S13 KA24DE into S14, but it all could be done.

I got a KA24DE out of '95 S14, and it looks just like that one.

And for it being out of ALTIMA, defenately not. I dont want to go into details, but one main difference would be Front timing cover, and Altima I think have Distributor driven of off the back of head.

So for that question Sorry had to do that.

Are you in US or somewhere else? Is this car from US? I dont remember but there could be VIN on the block. That would help out a lot, but dont remember if NISSAN ever did that.
