What to check on a high mileage Q50 hybrid?

In 2014, the G37 Sedan became Infiniti Q50. G37 Coupe and Convertible became Infiniti Q60 under Infiniti's new naming structure - Here's the place to discuss the Q50 and Q60!

Going to look at a 2014 Q50 S AWD hybrid with 100,000 miles. Anything specific to check? Anybody sell a useful extended warranty to cover the major parts?

I'd be concerned about the battery cells. See what kind of testing can be done to those.

Replacing the battery packs in that car are between $5k and $8k to replace depending on how it's done, so be sure to do your due diligence.

If that's something you can do yourself, rock on! However, I understand it's a big job. Check out our FSMs for the Q50 at http://www.nicoclub.com/fsm for the factory procedure on how to swap them out.

Good luck!

Someone on another Q50 forum got a quote from a dealer for less than $2000 for the hybrid battery w/labor.

$615 each for left & right hybrid battery here, parts only:

The FSM at the link above is for the non-hybrid Q50.
Hybrid FSM has 7 extra sections - CL, DMS, HBB, HBC, HCO, TMS, VSP.
Hybrid FSM does not include CHG charging system - does not have an alternator,
nor STR starting system - does not have a starting motor, uses the hybrid traction
motor to start the engine.
Several other sections are different, EM, EC, etc., due to different engine.

I found the hybrid FSM here:
https://x.infinitihelp.com/forum/showth ... 40&t=12484
Have to create an account there before getting download access.
Worked for me in 2016, not sure if it's still working now.

Can anyone share with us a copy of hybrid Q50 FSM.
On this site I could see only document related to non hybrid vehicle.
Thank you in advance!
