Finding the parts should not be that hard at all. Keep in mind, we have Grant FTW.

did it look like this

I havent found much on motor mounts for an RB25 - q45 swap but this guy has done it

http://www.youtube.com/v/Hnit4G6MgVM&hl=en

- a custom crossmember - new drive shaft- a shifter with an extension if it doesnt line up. - tranny bracket/mount- wiring...

and that should be all. a garage, mig welder, jack and lift, with all the right tools and it can happen.

Im on a complete custom strut bag set up. Dont ask me questions because I didnt do the install. Lots of cutting, bending and welding was involved to get any type of camber out of the F50

I'm looking into getting Y32 coils to fit my FGY33, but if it doesn't work out I am going with S13 Coils all around thanks to Grant inspiration!

Anyone have any idea about the y32 coils fitting. so far I've been told everything bolts right up except that the rotors don't fit the spindles???

You kidding, for the amount of money you would spend at a shop just go buy the tools and then you done it yourself and have tools of your own for future projects.

Well the auto hobby shop on base has everything I need, and cheap rates to get help and use tools. Thats what I was planning on doing.

Well my bad for jumping the gun, I still think it would be a good investment to get your own tools. GL.

I originally thought you were just going to pay someone to do it.

Would be nice to have a house with a garage, then I'll buy my own tools

tools are always a good investment vs. paying someone else but when you're talking suspension you're usually talking air tools and that can get costly. i hate doing that type of work without air but it looks like i may have to do it anyway on the q.

looking to buy a home compressor soon but money keeps getting tight on me.

JIC is about your quickest options for coilovers to you can pick up espeiler springs. I have also read that s14 springs work on the Y's.

Where were you when I was selling my car?

lol i just sold my SC3 and got a real good deal on this 97! I know of a set of used JIC for 1100, you think thats a good price?

with the s14 coilovers dont you need to do more of a conversion?

Lastly, which route would you recommend i go ?
