Yea that was dropping the perch all the way down. Very fun to see peoples faces when I don't air up to go over obstacles, also very inconvenient lol

I won't be "vip" for a while due to numerable bad luck spells and this f***ing job market. The coilovers are going away to be replaced by a bag setup. I am still looking for 18'' wheels with good offsets if anyone has anything.

I've got to keep this thread alive while updating my setup. My Y33 is officially rocking an S14 conversion with NISMO coilovers, and Universal Air.

Love this setup and the options are endless for coilover upgrades. I still need to roll my fenders to get it as low as it will go but I'm good for now.

Phase 1 Complete

daaaamn son I bet that looks tight.

I was supposed to trade my coilovers for a whole air setup but I just can't let go of how dope it is to rock slammed coils.

Speaking of UAS, I checked their website and I couldn't find an application for my G50. I hear nothing but good things about their setups.

What would be a viable option for a reliable air setup for the G50? (90-93, since the two custom ones I saw here were for 94-96 because of differing knuckle diameters).

i believe there are rubbing issues on the g50 with uas. don't know where i got that from but i know uas has been out of the question for g50 for a while.

that easystreet setup would have just needed the lower mounts swapped out.

pretty much anything is going to have to be custom anyway, or keep it gangster and get coilovers.

That's the way it's going to have to be then. Probably cheaper in the long run too.

When I pick up a FY33, I guess I can go the air route.

digital is cool but the more things you have the more that can go wrong.

50/50 either way.

minor my a** cut and weld like you have never seen , because the strut and the axle are like one pc you have to be exact - you will have tro use the botton end of your jdm , top half air runner ...

this only applies to the front, which i'm sure airunner took care of.

this is the same basic suspension design (g35). what they are referring to is installing bag cups. any shop that can do air should be able to handle this. very basic design.

congrats, you just bought the name and got taxed on some firestone airbags and jdm kyb super special shocks. i don't know how anyone drops $3k on something they don't understand. but hey, at least you got a good price.

rear are going to be a b*t*h , the y34 from jersy was done in the early days of the car for show only , it was not too practical - if you are cutting the rear strut to fit what ever bag you have you have to be bang on on the lines - if you are puting 20 inch wheels on - with rolled fenders on 20 -negative chamber you have be exact .

in my case i am running 295 tires on the rear so i don't get as much room to pay with like the 19 inchers ...

then why is this guy talking about cutting up struts and 1 piece spindle/shock assembiles?

bags/cups go in spring pocket. done.

might want to check with your regional forum for installers. i'm not familiar with anyone in florida. it's a setup that most custom shops should be comfortable with. bags/cups have been used on trucks for years and the front is bolt in i assume. air managment is very basic on the airrunners as well. don't let 'em rape you just because you have a nice car.
