I'm parting out my 93 j since the trans took a crap. What parts tend to bring the most money? I tried to reference ebay but the prices are all over the place.

Headlights in good, uncracked condition will bring $100 - $150 each, rear diff will bring about $200. BOSE speakers usually sell quickly. BOSE headunit, if still working, will sell lightning fast. Window regulators will sell for at least $50 each. Airbags will probably sell pretty quick but I don't know how much they will bring.

There's a few for ya!

What interior and exterior colors? I'd buy a tan passenger floormat maybe.

Thanks for the replies. Floormats didn't come with it. Green with the caramel/beige interior. Im trying to sell everything I can off it to recoup some of the money I put into it. I am amazed at how much of the car has come apart with just a 10mm and 12mm socket. The sensors like iac and tps should sell for a good amount right? And if anyone was wondering how hard it is to remove the intake manifold, it is hell.

Add a 14mm in there and a phillips screw driver and you can take the whole car apart.

If you think the intake manifold was hard to take off, you should try to put it back on.

Of course mine is torn. I would never have attempted to take off the intake manifold if I actually planned on having the car running. It was hard enough to do when you can just cut the hoses and some of the wiring. Paying a mechanic 800 to do it seems like a bargain.

I would part it out, since it would suck seeing nice parts put into the grinder, but most people dont have or know what the J30 is, so I dont know who is going to buy the parts. There are like 10 grills, and headlights on Ebay.

-- It's not like we drive Merkurs or Bitters, or some other car you've really never heard of. Seems like I see at least one or two Js every time I'm out. Most people I know are familiar with the old Infinitis, but then again most of the people I know are over 18, besides the children in my family. lol

-- OP. Rims come to mind as valuable, might get a few bux for the gauge cluster and I'm sure you could sell the climate control parts. Itemize on Ebay, Craigslist, & also browse the WTB section here. GL.

yeah here in Indianapolis I see at least one other J every other day. probably the same people, but hey it's nice to see a few.

And in a way it's also nice to be a rare car and not the cavalier, neon, sunfire clan that you see at least 10 of at any given time in the local Wal-Mart parking lot

Hi - was reading through this forum, trying to get info on what I'm going to do with my 93 red/tan J30 that was totaled recently, but everything from the dashboard back, minus both airbags, is in perfect, near perfect condition, and damgood condition - are you still interested in tan floormats? I recall the drivers side mat to be somewhat dirty, but seems the passenger side is pretty clean (i have the car in storage at the moment)

and thanks for supplying answers to the guy asking what was valuable on his J30, i was looking for just that kind of info!

This weekend I saw three fairly fresh 1995 J30s (all with tan interiors) at the North San Jose Pick'n' Pull and I did happen to notice at least one floor mat.

I still don't have a passenger floormat. dallasamazon, how much do you want for yours, and how much is shipping to 80631?

Those of you lucky enough to have access to J30 pick and pulls, I'll pay cost + shipping + some for your time if all three are reasonable. Again, that woulds be shippid to Greeley, CO 80631.

And to the OP and this other guy, your seats might be worth something to someone if they're in good shape. The downside is that they would cost a pretty penny to ship.

I've gotten more requests for the floormats than any other part. The seats are rediculous to ship. So far I've made about 1100 parting it out, I paid 1400 so it almost evens out, still got a ton of parts though.

hi jakw -

i'm heading over to storage now to mess with the tan j30 - I'll grab the floormat - make an offer - I'll see about shipping and get back to you!

fyi to whoever, the seats, the dash, the console, the mirrors - the interior period is like mary poppins, practically perfect :-) only a few things have the most minor flaws, scratches, whatever - and the drivers side door has a 2 month used door lock actuator - unfortunately i replaced my wrecked with silver/black J30, so not much I can use myself -I just want to gain at least some amount of investment back after the responsible insured's company screwed me on the "fair market value" payoff

If the square piece that goes around the shifter isn't beat up and all of the clips are intact, I might take that too. Let me know about shipping for both and we'll see what we can do about price. Go ahead and e-mail me at [email protected].

Also, do you know if that chome piece of trim under the passenger window on the outside is removeable? I could use one of those too.

With the amount of work required to remove and install injectors, I would not use used ones.

Get new injectors. They aren't that expensive.
