I was wondering anyone can please help me figure this out...am SERIOUSLY considering buying The Cube. However, I've seen some photos of the cube having a sunroof/moonroof. Is that only with the Japan version? I'd really hate to buy the 2009 Cube then find out that the 2010 model has a sunroof:(

Is the one that's out right now in the dealerships the 2009 Cube? Does anyone know this? Are they going to drastically change the 2010 model? Thank you to everyone in advance:)

The 2009 Cube was just released here in May so I highly doubt there will be a major redesign within the next 3 or so years. The USDM '09 does not seem to have a sunroof and I have really seen no information as to whether the next model will have one or not.

Im sure the sunroof is an option. Probably adds at least $1200 to the price as well.

There's an awful lot of speculation here. But with that said, it can never hurt to wait for the new model year to be released. No business-savvy manufacturer would release all the features in the first model year and not change anything again until minor change. That'd just be downright silly. Especially with a new model year. Lexus did this with the previous gen IS for instance. Manual transmission wasn't offered until the 2nd model year.

This car will definately increase the cool factor if it has a huge moon/sun roof simular to the Element. I am sure the younger folks are willk to folk out the extra $$$$ for it.

I would LOVE to see one with a huge sunroof like the Quest has.

Since it's new, I don't think it will get a new roof (to add a sunroof) for a new model year. If you find a 2009 for the deal you want, I'd just get it unless you want to wait until the year end closeouts for the 2010's coming in to dealers. I'd look for it to come maybe in a couple years or the next minor redesign.

I don't know though, technically, this is not a "new" idea. The Cube is what, 10 years old now?

I think he meant to say this Cube is a new model (1st gen in US and 3rd gen in Japan) even in Japan. I haven't seen much changes on a 2nd year model in general. However on cars like G35/37, the AWD and 6sp gear box do come in quickly within the 1st year of release.
