What is the best lube?

I've got a couple of windows that are slower than the others when going up/down.What is the best kind of lube to put on the tracks of the regulators?Are there any other places/things that I will need to lube while I'm in there?All help with lube questions is greatly appreciated,Lance

cheap and dirty method:lube the rails around the glass with silicon lube. I use 3-in-1 silicon lube.

comprehensive method:in addition to the above procedure, take out the door panel. take out the window regulator, lube all moving parts on the regulator with lithium grease.

You need to make sure if the window regulator is functional.

I've got one regulator that I will need to replace. I'm 95% sure that the other thre are ok. I think they just need some lubrication to get them moving freely again. When I noticed that they were seeming slow I would stop using that window. The front passenger window my neice stripped it out. We were pulling into WalMart parking lot, so I was rolling the windows up. I guess she didn't want her window to go up so she grabs it with both hands and pulls down as hard as she can. Needless to say the motor and/or the regulator are now completely stripped out and when you try to roll it up or down it just makes this grinding/buzzing noise. I've got the motor and regulator to replace the whole unit in that window.I have a can of gunk white lithium grease will this work or is there another type of lithium grease that I need to get?
