What do you think about this spec v....

I am really wanting to get a spec v and have been searching for one at different dealerships with little luck. I recently stopped at a dealership and one of the dealers was selling his private spec v daily driver. it has-50k milesbald tires-aftermarket exhaust-lowering springs or something-it has a rough idle.backed in to so there is a small dent in the hood and chipped paint on the bumper.

about the idle, he said his son had set the idle to rev up and down so it is better to race. resulting in the throttle body to get dirty. His son manualy opened the throttle body to clean it.... and thats whats wrong with it. He is asking 7500 as is. my question is, is the price decent? what would be a more fair price if that is too high? is it worth getting and fixing? just want some knowledge so i can negotiate...

Price is too high depending on year. Sound like it has been beaten to death, probably burns oil too. Keep looking.

Question? What year Spec V are you looking for? just do your homework and compare prices. Have you tryed Autotrader or Craigslist? I will keep my eyes open as My sister lives in Flowermound TX. I go there about 2-3 times a year. I hope you will find a great SpecV.

its an 06. i am going to test drive one on Friday from carmax. The one on carmax is an 08.

Yeah, this 06 sounds like it's been beaten absolutely to death. I'd avoid it.
