Only once.

I like your weight bench. My doctor has a table like that in his office too, with the same stirrup things. But his doesn't have handcuffs on the side.

I just went through my list... and there are at least 10 cars I can't remember..That's what happens when you go through cars like I do.. almost 40 cars in 13 years... (first 6 were before I graduated from High school, and there are two more I can't remember) lol.. Here's my list:

1984 Jeep Cherokee1986 Saab 90001988 Volkwagon jetta1988 Mazda B26001987 Nissan Pathfinder1987 Jeep Wrangler1969 Ford Mustang Grande all original(351 cleveland, 75k orig. miles.. this was 1995)1994 Toyota Corolla1996 Nissan Altima1997 Mazda B23001986 Saab 90001994 Jeep Grand Cherokee2001 Hyundai Elantra2001 Mercedes C240 (just sold a month ago)2006 Dodge Ram **

Projects:1969 Chevy Blazer1962 VW Karmann Ghia1965 VW Bug1975 Chevy Blazer **Motorcycles:

1995 Kawasaki Ninja zx-11r1999 Honda Shadow 6002005 Honda VTX13002003 Yamaha R6 Limited Edition2004 Honda VTX18002004 Honda VTX1800 (traded for a different color + a big $$ gain selling the first one) **

The saab is listed twice because it magically came home to papa.. I sold it in 1994 to a guy who lived 300 miles away from me.. in 1997, I got a call from the county sheriff, who informed me that my saab had been abandoned behind a building 6 blocks from my home. Apparently the buyer never registered it, and I had lost his info.. I had it towed home, ordered a key for it, changed all the fluids, and drove it for another 2 years, then sold it for as much as I originally bought it for in 1993 (when I sold it in 94, I made $1500 over what I bought it for)

** still in my garage/driveway.

I don't have a G yet... looking for an 07-08 G35x right now..

^ large variety of brands!!How did your Chryslers hold up for you??My only Chrysler was a 84 Dodge Daytona Turbo Z that was a great driving car - fast & great MPG, but kept breaking down so I got rid of it.

But, my fishing buddy has a Jeep Cherokee 4x4 that has given him very few problems and probably is getting close to 200K miles.

Yeah, I really don't have any brand loyalty...

As for my chrysler's... the 1984 Jeep (AMC, but thought I'd include it anyway) was the biggest POS I've ever seen. I put it's 4th engine in it at 140k miles.. My 87 Wrangler (first year of chrysler) was a great ride. The ring gear went on it, which caused me to blow through starters almost faster than I blew through gas, but that was the only problem I had, and eventually I fixed it (eventually being after going through about 35 starters. I got to where I could push start it alone, and I kept a 13mm and 10mm wrench in the car so I could swap it at Autozone in 5 minutes on my own, lol)... the 94 Grand cherokee is the best car I've ever owned.. Never had any problems whatsoever. And my dodge truck... It's only got 8k miles on it through 2 years, and really nothing major... my wiper fluid pump motor went out, and the one touch down function on my drivers window got fubared, but other than that, it''s been a good car. However, if I could go back in time, I'd get a Chevy.. Dodge just gave me a better deal on the lease.

I'd say Jeep is the only brand I've ever been loyal to, and the past 3-4 years, chrysler has really started to mess withthem.. There's nothing in their lineup today that really turns me on anymore..

i've had my current for over six years now.. it's paid for.. but it's getting up there in mileage (165k).. i know i can squeeze another 50k easily on it (4 more years).. but a part of me just wants something new to drive
here's my current.. 98 gs400.. 166k miles and still runnin' like new.. just had the bumper replaced and repainted (6 years of rock chips from freeway driving)

So, what did you trade in to get your G?

And, what other cars have you owned???

How does your G rate in comparison?

I'll post my list later, got to find me a beer!

OH, and my daughter got a scholarship which will pay HALF of her college education!!!!
1. I sold my 1999 Maxima SE-L 5MT for my G 6MTsedan and love it 10000x more... I do miss that thing! The VQ30DE is much smoother, and like magazines say, the VQ35HR brings a lot of that sexiness back! I had a loaner from Infiniti with an '07 sedan and boy was it smooth as silk!

Before that, had a 1989 Probe LX 5MT & traded that in for a 1989 Probe GT 2.2T for more power.

Have you noticed that the cars tend to run through the stages of life? Young unattached, young attached, young attached with kids, kids and family functions, kids driving, kids getting on their own, dad getting back to young and attached In some cases young and wanting to me unattached or at least pretending to be. Ain't life fun?I've had a few cars and I really enjoyed looking at all the cars the other members have had and have. I think my list may be the longest and most senior. We'll see.1. 49 Plymouth Convertible, candy apple red with louvered hood and dual pipes on the straight six. Real cool daddy-o!2. 59 Chevy Convertible; 348 with big carb and stick and wow, coolest car ever. Get a picture and look at one.3. 58 Ford F100. Had to use for work. Good truck though. Granny gear with 6 cyl. Slow but tough.4. 63 Ford Ranchero. Awesome catruck. Man the nights on the desert. The stars. The music playing. One of the most romantic vehicles I've owned.5. 65 Ford Mustang convertible, stick shift V8 turquoise with white interior - the best looking car of all time.6. 69 Ford Mustang Mach 1- Big engine, stick shift, candy apple red - faster than sh---t. Awesome. Made it from Phoenix to Ft Hood in 10 hours. Texas back roads and a full tank of gas.7. 71 Ford Torino, big V8 auto (kid friendly). Actually one of the fastest and best driving cars I've owned.8. 73 Mercury Colony Park Station Wagon, yep, more kids. 400 HP engine and man did it like the autobahns in Germany. Easily cruised at 105 mph all day, with camping gear and full load. Awesome car. Burnt the brakes going down the alps however.9. 60s something Volvo. Used it as a commuter car in Germany. Good all around car. Never had a problem with it and it ran autobahn speeds well.10. 1976 Chrysler Station wagon.11. 1969 Beetle (which I had to push most times to start)12. 1984 Camry (first Asian car).13. 83 or 84 (can't remember exactly) Fiat X 1/9. Cool fun car. Really a nice slot car.14. 1986 or so Ford escort (time is getting blurry). Daughters car.15. 1987 Jeep16. 1990 Camry17. 1991 BMW cute but slow18. 1994 Ford Lighting F10019. 1996 Ford Mustang Cobra20. 2000 Lexus RX 30021. 2001 Roush Stage 3 Mustang - a real race car for the street - by far the fastest car I've owned. Absolutely awesome handling.22. 2003 Toyota Tacoma with supercharger and fourspeed short shift and many other other extras. Fun.23. This was a big screwup - 2005 Saturn VUE had the Honda 260 HP engine and transmission.24. 2005 Porsche Boxster (which I traded in for my G37). The best driving car for sure. I put headers on it, exhaust, flashed the ecu, and it had 202 HP at the wheels. Not bad for a tiptronic.25. 2007 Lexus 350 for my better half.26. 2008 Infiniti G37, Stillen sway bars, H&R springs, camber adjusters, and Stillen exhaust and high flow cats on order.

I am a proud American who likes cars and thus have contributed more than my fair share to our nation's auto industry. Has it hurt the 401 K, yep. But man have I had a great ride in doing it Thanks for the opportunity to drive on memory lane.I enjoy this groups attitude very much. You all seems to keep life inperspective. That is a good thing. Drive on

Not sure about that. X-wife had the vans and I had 2-door coupes up until I bought the Maxima which I assumed I needed for my job (taking clients to lunch). Since I rarely did that I went back to a coupe. My wife dislikes sedans and despises vans and SUV/Xovers but likes the Maxima so it works out for us.

Yeah I never thought I'd sell the Stang... Eventually I'll have another one... The Caddy is big, 2ft longer than an Explorer... But the steering is so light and its so easy to drive. It's like sitting on your couch driving down the rd
