Re-routed my ipod cable and USB micro cable to side panels of middle console instead of out of the top of the armrest. So, now they won't get tangled with drinks in cup holders.

Image

Had to notch the front part of the armrest to run the cable down low out of the middle console.

cleaned up the rear a bit and wrapped a few things using the 3m wrap. I had the VHT nightshades starting to wear off and look pretty bad. I think I like the black gloss.
Pics before I had a chance to wash it....

1. Washed, clay barred, and waxed.
2. Tried new product for tires - Armor All Outlast tire glaze, we'll see how it holds up.
BTW, Lane's blue tire stuff (even after letting it dry overnight, still tons of tire sling....) won't be buying that stuff again.
3. Installed dash cam, wired a 12v receptacle to an add-a-fuse in driver side panel, and added a 2 USB port cig lighter adapter, so I've got a free USB port if I want/need to run more electronics after powering the dash cam.
4. Changed out cheap plastic under carriage shield with Tollboothwilley's awesome aluminum black powder coated one with the oil change door cover!!!! I had one for my M45 - awesome!!!

I think I need to make my own build thread...

I like it, it looks like a ambiguous menacing B movie demon car from the front. :chuckle: I bet lots of people have to take a second look to figure out what it is. Nicely done. :dblthumb:

First time lifting and working on a car.
Changed out the differential fluid and installed new front wheel bearings as well as rotors/brake pads all around. Props to both pedsemdoc and ilya for the how-to's!

You're welcome! and don't forget to bed in those new brake pads - you'll improve their performance and minimize any squeal or vibration.

You'll find the serpentine belt and spark plugs aren't too bad if you tackled this stuff on your own.

I bed in my brakes last night per zeckhausen's after finding a suitable street.
I smelled the brakes by the end of it but did not find a blue-ish tint on my rotors afterwards. Did anyone bed their brakes twice or find it necessary?

I'd consider tackling the spark plugs if I there's a guide with pictures :frown:

Not sure about others but I always shift manually. Got me some paddle shifter extenders from shift concepts. I like them quite a bit.

Do those just fit over the existing paddle shifters, slipped on?, no retaining screws/allen bolts etc.?
hmmm...seems like you could 3D print something similar.
Not sure I like how big they are, Ideally I would like the OEM ones just a little bit longer (I think it is a little of a stretch to hit the OEM ones while your hands are on the wheel) but the color is pretty boss.

you'd be surprised how spot on the length is. I always felt the oem ones were way too short to use them except going straight.

They are 3D printed and it is a snap-on type.

don't feel bad, it took me 3 years to figure it out...and I read the whole manual after purchasing and somehow missed that anyway.
I had my phone holder get loose and fall on the button which folded the mirrors while on an interstate. For a few seconds I had no clue what the heck just happened
