Brakemotive kit was $169.95 (all four rotors and pads)

Could've used the same pad retainer clips, but opted to have everything new, so...
Hardware Kit-Front (clips + shims and shim covers which I didn't use) $58.92
Hardware Kit-Rear $57.10
Total: $285.97

Ordering OEM rotors and pads from infinitipartsusa.com (not including the hardware kits) would have totaled: $542.60 (not including S&H)
Looks really nice. How long do you think it all took? Cant beat $290 plus a dinner for new rotors and pads. Please keep us updated on any Pros or Cons about the setup.

wow that is a good price, I may just do that instead of my other plans for brakes. I will be needing something soon and will keep an eye out for any other good deals like this. It looks like you cleaned your calipers too, rust might appear rather quickly if you didnt use any type of rust inhibitor just fyi.

Rears with my friend helping/showing me how to do it took about 2 hours total.
Fronts with just me took about 4 hours...but I really took my time and scrubbed everything like crazy, plus cleaned the inside face of the rims, etc.
The brakemotive rotors come with Zinc-dichromate plating which is supposed to help prevent rust, but that might just be a bunch of hooey--we'll see, but thanks for the compliments.

02F50 Sport w/full IMPUL Body kit:
Installed 10k halos over a yr ago. Decided there was just too much chrome.
last month I painted the inside of my headlamps.
This weekend I installed Fog Projector lamps (E60, 5 series, 03-06). I had been looking for a while and measuring other cars fogs.

Great job P-doc you and I definitely talk the same language when it comes to brakes!!! Do it yourself and buy some decent rotors which wont break your bank, some guys are paying what you paid for everything for one rotor. Thats crazy but oh well. Hey can you send me the actual link of where you bought your brake kit from? and also keep us posted on how they perform, thanks.

Love the headlights crews, I seen something similar done to a G35 and it came out very nice as well...

Thanks a.blanco--I figured I can use that money for some other goodies, maybe even an UpRev--although I know you didn't have much luck..maybe I should invest in an Osiris or Cipher. Wouldn't it be great if you had a good friend who owned a dyno

Here's the link to a similar item: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... 0289972906

Should work for 2009-2006 M35/M45s, but just check below with years and models it is compatible with.

Craig
Hey Craig, even though I didnt gain the HP I was hoping for, the tune was definitely worth it, the engine is much smoother and the car is quicker... with that tune the car feels like they took 500 pounds off of it. Im hoping someone in Texas does the uprev in another city (you, you, you!!!) so I can take the car to that shop, if they gain substantial HP, and get it re-tuned. But seriously even without the HP gain, the way the engine feels is very worth the $$$... I want to get a refund for the tune but I dont know how to break it down to them, maybe I should get the car tune again and take them the results and then ask them for the tune time money back, if I gain the HP everybody else is getting. Also, osiris and cipher is all the same thing at uprev, just different approaches of how to get your car tuned and whatnot. For instance there's one (I think osiris) where you get the CD and the cable so you can tune the car yourself with a tune file that they will email you, after you download something off your ECU and send it to them... so it's all basically the same thing.

blanco,
thanks for the kind words.
you have a couple of sweet rides.
reminds me of my (much) younger single days I had a yellow 79 rx7 w/ 50's on 14inch factory rims.......raced it in show room stock SCCA in Dallas. Then I drove a 86 Pontiac 6000 STE 4dr as my work car. Had the chevy High Output V6 and suede leather and all the options.

Thank you sir. You sound old school!!! I love those 70s Japanese cars from Mazda, Toyota and Nissan, especially the 240z. Never really liked American cars much but love the trucks. The japanese compacts remind me of my dad's car in the 80s, a red Datsun 610!!! :bigthumb:

Had some Continental DWS installed for 855 out of the door at discounttire. I was debating between the DWS and the Bridgestone RE960 Pole. hope I made the right choice.

First time doing maintenance on the car (with a friends help since he has all the tools).
Changed oil to Vavoline Synthetic 5w30 with a Mobil1 oil filter.
Changed differential oil to Castrol - SYNTEC Full Synthetic Gear Oil, 75W90.

Time it took: 2 hours
Cost: $40

Looking to do the tranny oil and coolant flush soon.

Yeah, I'm 'old school'. got uot of Texas A&M in 1979!
Saw the exit for Kileen more than once goning back and forth on long weekends.
my first car was a 66 mustang coupe. I've had a 73 3514bbl and a couple more 66. Had some Audi's with that 2.2 5cylinder (and a VW Quantum w/ the same 2.2l) The RX7 was a 'find'. got it really cheap and had a buddy who had just won 3rd yr national champion SCCA showroom stock in a 79RX7, he turneded me on.
You in the military there?

Yessir, I did 9 years in the Army. This was my last duty station and I stayed here because housing it's so much cheaper than up north.

Washed, vacuumed, lysol'ed (wipes - got most of that coffee my buddies spilt off my center console). Changed the V belt a few days ago but got sent the wrong drive belt so gotta get that swapped.

Replaced the wiper inserts with new ones. Changed the air filter. Changed the spark plugs and the cabin air filter as well.

Getting the diff fluids, tranny fluid, and coolant flushed/replaced on friday at the dealer (should have a sweet G37 for a loaner for a few hours - quick cars) and then I'm ready for my trip to Clearwater, FL in 2 weeks and Missouri in June.

Had local Infiniti dealer repair driver's seat track under TSB. They washed car after warranty repair and did some light detailing (vacuuming and tire shine). Driver's seat is rock-solid now.

Also bought Elite Warranty from Circle Infiniti, 4 years/48,000 additional miles, $100.00 deductible for $1891.

I ordered a drop in K&N air filter yesterday after getting it washed (I'm always looking to add something after it gets cleaned). Checked the tracking on my brake kit and it should be in tomorrow according to fedex web site.... Shopping for the eibach pro kit right now!!
