Drove the piss out of it today and realized just how bad I need to replace the shifter support and boot, I feel like a flinstone the way I can hear road noise while driving. Also I noticed that my shift knob was moist this morning from mildew. Third gear gets shakey from what I assume is my shifter support bracket being in pieces. (It was broken prior to me buying the car and was in pieces when I installed my short throw shifter, ignored it for the time being thinking it wouldn't be a big deal well it is)

So, I ordered the shift support bracket and boot. While I was at it I purchased front and rear strut braces, rear fender flares, lowering springs, and a front Nissan emblem.

Turned the mileage over to '12345' original miles on the meter.

This occurred in the best of venues, on one of the over 300 tight turns of Tennessee Hwy. 129
locally known as "The Dragons Tail".

A driving mecca for Motorsport enthusiasts on both two and four wheels.

Cheers

Image.. turned 20,000 miles -- remarkably, almost at the exact same place (within .3mi) on the Dragons Tail US Hwy, 129 that I turned 10,000 three years ago !

Xcellent day - drove the Z till it hurt (me, not the Z)

Pulling posts back from the dead.

I figured out why the Z is shaking violently on acceleration out of a turn.

The rear shocks were so blown they were soaked all the way to the lower mounts. Those got replaced and the AC belt was tightened. Then a quick test drive to pick up dinner. Now when the back starts to step out around a corner, it does so smoothly. Also pulling into a parking lot happens without an embarrassing squeak.
