Wiped my car clean, discovered that my dad's shop has put a dent in my passenger door, cracked a chip out of the paint

I wet sanded my stillen lip and painted it the 'right' way myself, Pearl base coat, (honda nighthawk pearl, no money for factory paint code,) and Motor city clear coat. Today, the second clear coat goes on.

My car won't be ready before Carlisle, I give up. But, i do want to drive it before my insurance expeires from not paying it. I make over 2 g's a month and im still broke.

This F*cking mercedes, i swear, is ruining me.

It may be an optical illusion with the carpet, but your driveshaft looks warped. :O

LOL yes on the garage lip. a bit difficult to install on the type III lip, but some angle drilling and a heavy duty bolt set made it work..

and yeah LOL ricer :D Somebody around my way has a VW with a euro rear bumper and euro rear plate, with the MA plate on top. both have red lettering so it's hard to read. LOL.

I had to put a starter in her yesterday, and took some pics afterwards. I also painted the busted chin and fixed her up a bit. Im glad the starter was easy to change!

Began painting my OEM wheels black, figured it was time to change it from the completely f'd factory silver paint that came from the factory in 1990. Found out that i'd finally wore my rear tires down to the belt. (i was wondering why it was slightly vibrating at 70+ mph  ) Replaced the tires AFTER my rears were already painted and had cured. The shop chipped the paint all the way around the wheel, couldn't be avoided i suppose. So i have to re-do the slight lip all the way around the rears and do the fronts.

Just to double check my work here: two coats primer, two coats gloss black wheel paint and three coats clear should hold up fairly well till i get cash to buy good wheels correct?

Last but not least, cried more at my broke to hell third brake light, dented hatch and spoiler that was cut into. Lesson learned: no matter how bad you need to pull a car ASAP approximately 12 feet up hill, NEVER do it with the Z. Anyone have one i could get my hands on?

That should hold for wheel paint until you buy good wheels. generally, powdercoating would be your best option but is more costly and could cause more downtime for your car unless you have rollers.

I don't have a hatch/tbl for you. sorry!

Bottom end's almost done on my car... i lost the OEM head bolts. Anyone have a part number, or know a aftermarket solution (besides ARP, my oem head bolts hold up to 500hp, or more than what i need,) for head BOLTS (not studs, or studs that dont cost 278 bucks)...

I believe i happen to have some OEM head bolts off a N/A block+heads i bought last year, if you can't find any thing else. They've been sitting in a labeled ziplock bag in my garage since I took the block apart. I'm fairly sure the part number is all the same between N/A and TT on the OEM ones, though i'm probably wrong.

Fixed my squeeky shifter, WD40 baby! :chuckle: Finally!

Eli, The head bolts are sold by courtesy as a set, DO NOT buy cheap aftermarket head bolts and DO NOT reuse OEM head bolts, they are torque to yield.

Started pulling the plenum for a couple hours tonight after work, basically down to just a few things underneath to unhook before it's off. 19 year old injector clips suck little tab that holds the metal clip broke on all 6 lol they were also all corroded.

Installed silicone IC hoses, and one BDE GHK recirc. I'll do the other one tomorrow probably. Forgot how much I love/hate working in the Z, but my bloody knuckles remember.

Completed an EGR bypass last night. Not a full delete, but that will come when I pull then engine out. All the vacuum lines are capped and the EGR tubes into the intake manifold are capped. The EGR is just huggin onto the back on the engine still.

Lots. Decided to replace my rotors n pads ,started with right front the little clips
And the pins were a bear to get back on at first but after the first wheel the rest went fine. Then my son who is a apprentice body man came over n I decided to let him start fixing the few dents I have and get the car prepped for new paint this summer . I removed the rear spoiler also as it was horribly rotted . I used a post on the forum to DIY spoiler was very informative n had step by step instructions n pictures also. .
More to come Tuesday pulling the plenum doing egr delete ,water delete , and PVC valve also . Have some new reworked 370 injectors to install and can't wait to see how she runs with all good injectors

Busy day. Removed EGR completely(surprisingly only a 30min job with the engine and tranny in the car), removed all water lines, removed timing cover/radiator, replaced the valve covers and cleaned almost all the upper plenum parts.

Cleaned the garage, moved all of the misc Z parts into or under the body so I could actually park another car in the 2-car garage.
