The 2 bolts in the front of the diff. Where the rubber bushings are.

Use your stock ones? you know you need to run solid bushings so your rear cover doesnt crack right? if you remove the rubber bushings and put some filler like quicksteel in the holes you can use your stock diff bolts.

Did it on my car so I gurantee it

Dude I never even thought about that or thought that could be strong enough. So did you fill the whole thing and drill it out? How did you center the holes? I have read up on this but never heard about the cover cracking. But totally makes sense. Fr sport has a bushing and bolt kit but I just can't justify spending 90 bucks. Im def interested in your setup. I know jb quick wont work very well so maybe the quicksteel or industrial jb weld?

I found some bolts that are 90mm long on MCMASTER.com. (they also have 80mm long)
M12 x 125mm right? You have to order 5 of them (have to buy bags) or more. I think the bolts you actually need are 85 mm long. Since I have 5 of them, I'll try it with the washer and the bushing, and try cutting a bolt down if I have to, or adding another washer. They're $15.something for 5 of them off this website.

apologize for late reply...

What I did basicly is cram some quicksteel into the old bushing holes after removing the old ones, eyeballing it so it looks centered. JUST MAKE SURE THE BOLTS WILL GO THOUGH!! If not tho no biggie you can drill them out if you have to.

Next get the biggest a$$ fender washers you can fine at home depot, recommend gettin 4 beacuse they arent the sturdiest things ever, but they work. I forget what size I got but they were HUGE!

Now you can just bolt it up there (if everything lines up of course) and your good to go! Been running mine since Feb. '10 no issues :bigthumb:

Good luck! Let us know how it goes and if I need to post pics of mine... no biggie for me to if you need it

So did you. Use the metal. Insert part? Or just burn all of it out and quicksteel the whole thing? Im doing this this weekend. You got. Me stoked! Can't wait to use my one piece and get rid of my welded.

Washer size is 1/2" x 1-1/2". two of them are pretty sturdy actually, found out they're 1/16" thick

Also I sanded the Quicksteel flush with the metal on both sides.

Thanks for that. I'm putting in my diff from a 300ZX (non-turbo) soon. I just need to find some frecking output flanges! When I ask salvage yards for the LSD output flanges from a 95-96 Infinity J30, they act like I just asked them to slay a dragon!

^ right! I got my diff from Rancho Cordova and specificly told the 95-96 and the sent me a early year j30 diff. I told them to make it right send me the output flanges. From a 95-96. Two months later I finally got them to. Send me 93 axles cuz they didn't have output flanges. God if only people would listen. At least they made it right.

Well not my first little mod (mine is welded right nowand is just to much for dd) so cut, clean, fill, let set, drill, and install with double washers each side?

Yeah, that's exactly what I'm worried will happen. I'm going to try to find a local place so I can see the part before I pay. Good luck, right?

Awesome pics! Thanks! I can "see" it now! I've never worked with quicksteel before. Could you put up a quick "how-to" and where to get it? Thanks :D
