so i have a 1985 nisaan 720 4x4. I want to lower it buy putting lowering blocks on the back and lowering the torsion bars in the front. will the fact that my truck is a 4x4 get in the way? if it will, how would i go about getting rid of the 4x4 and just making it just 2wd. and by the way, i dont want to drop it extremly low, just a really nice looking height

I'd sell it and buy a 2wd 720. 4x4's have a higher sell value so if you do it right you should come out ahead, or buy into a cleaner truck. Any which way you go with the front suspension you'll end up having allignment issues and need some way of correcting it. It's not going to be something you can shim, more like having new upper control arms made for the truck to allign the camber back in at the top. I've stuffed my tires pretty good on angles so I doubt you'll have issues with the front axles binding up.

There's barely enough market out there for 4x4 720 lift kits. It's probably 1 in a few million that want to lower a truck that was meant for offroad =P Good luck any which way you decide.

And yes, its hard to lower a 4x4 because you can't use blocks. The leafs are above the axle rather than below, so blocks would lift it.
