weld the EGR or just plug it?

Information on the naturally-aspirated KA24E and KA24DE engines.

I dont plan to use the EGR , not like i have a CAT anyways... so can I just leave it open, the tube that used to connected to the oem exhuast. ppls' said to weld it up, some ppl's said to plug it? what side is plug if i just plug it ?I don't want to weld it because maybe if I want to go back to stock and sell it..so.. what did yo do to it? would I lost boost if I just leave it open?

You need to plug or weld both ends.

which ohter side I need to plug it beside the tube goes to the oem exhaust mani? the EGR vavle?

What side is the plug? pipe thread that I can get it in Homedepot?

Depending on where you live, you might want to hook it up or at least make it look hooked up. I took mine to an inspection station yesterday to see what I needed to do to get my car to pass. He said as long as I got that hooked up, I might be able to get someone to overlook that fact that the AIV is gone too. :)
