Car: 2011 M37x in platinum graphite with graphite interior and premium package

Post

Hi the names Brian. I just bought a 2011 M37x to replace my aging 2000 BMW 528i. I love this Infiniti, the interior is the best i've ever seen and I looked at all the luxury cars in this class before deciding on the M. Powers great, rides smooth and it actually goes in this North east Ohio weather!
I've enjoyed lurking n the site these last few weeks reading and looking at the pics. I hope to post a few of my own once the snow melts

Hello all. Just bought a 2003 M45 after test driving everything. This was a "WOW" test drive after many of the high line imports of the same year...and the price of $6800 was hard to pass up. I am loving it after 300 miles and will be visiting much as I repair and upgrade. Thanks for having me. Will post pics when figure out how.

Hello All! I just bought a liquid silver 2011 M37x with Premium, Deluxe Touring, and Technology Packages, as well as illunimated kick plates, splash guards, trunk mat (with net and first aid kit) along with wheel locks. I traded in a, now unneeded, Acura Mdx sport utility vehicle.

I considered the BMW 535i x-drive and the upcoming Audi A6 or A7 as alternatives. The reported mechanical/reliability problems with the alternative cars compelled me to decide to go forward with the M purchase. Particularly, the 3.0T engine in the A6 and A7, which is what I wanted, have been roundly reviled as abymal engines by Consumer Reports. And, German luxury sedans in general scored much lower in reliability than the M. Trouble free ownership (as much as possible) is my first consideration.
Anyway, glad to be an Infiniti owner now.

Just bought an off lease 2006 Infinity M35x.
Love the car, was loyal to GM however that has changed since driving this car. My wife says the smile hasn't left my face yet. I'm 51 and this car has woke up my fun factor.

Hey what's up. I just joined the forum/family. I'm in Miami Fl. I've always had a Nissan. From my very first car being a 240 zx than to a Nissan Mazima and now an Infiniti M35. I'm looking forward to being part of this family.

Hey all. Glad to be a member here. I just traded my '09 Lexus IS350 for an '07 M35. (Yes, I know. That's an odd trade. The IS is a younger guy's car. I'm 51.) However, it was a good move for me. The IS350 was fast, but just too small. The M35 has more cabin and trunk space, and the dash layout (audio, HVAC, Nav) is easier to manage and much more intuitive.

I'm looking forward to improving the Bose 8 speaker system, lowering it a bit, and adding some aftermarket 20" rims.

Ryk,

welcome to NICO!

you may want to check out this thread for upgrading your speakers:
door-speakers-t453687.html?hilit=door%2 ... eplacement

doesn't look like it's too difficult to do and reportedly a major difference in sound. i'm lucky, i've got the 5.1 Bose 14-speaker setup, but contemplating doing this as well as potentially adding some sound absorbing layers too...

Hello,

Here is a question for drivers of M37x models.

My wife has leased a 2011 car. Whether on cruise control or not, at 60mph the car runs at 2000revs.

Every car I have ever driven with over 3litres drops to 1500 revs at 60mph. The M37x transmission is said to have 7 gears, are any in the upper range?

This car has worse mpg then our previous 2007 Chevy Impala SS.

Are we alone or are there M37x's running at 1500revs out there?

Be happy - the previous generation M35/M45 would run you at around 3000RPM I believe.

Hello everyone, I just had a quick questiion.

I am losing gas mileage in my 2007 M35. I keep up with the maintenace every month or so but I've also installed a K&N Filter and still my mpg is 17.1. I'm just wondering what else can I do without taking it to the dealer? When i first purchased the car it was up to 22.1. Beside oil changes and filter changes, what else can I do?

Hello all, I just bought a 2006 M45 w/59k miles on it about a week ago and LOVE it. The only thing I dont like about it is it came with some 20" Veloche Chrome wheels. I am just not a chrome kind of guy so I am looking for some factory sport wheels. I recently owned a 2009 Honda Civic Si so this is a big change, but thats what happens when you start growing the family ha ha.

Hi,
Thanks for the welcome. I need some advice, hoping some here can help.

I'd planned to buy a 2012 M37 but I've suddenly run across a series of complaints, centering on its reliability, particularly its electronics. Can some of you give me the benefit of your experience. Is there anything to the stories? I surely hope there isn't.

Thanks.

I purchased a 2006 Infiniti m35 in 2008, it was wrecked 18 days ago and I just replaced it with a 2008 Infiniti
M35 with just 20k miles. I absolutely love this car and it came with everything but the premium package and a
spoiler. I traded in a week old EX35 at a considerable loss, but I had to get back my M35 that saved my life in
a freak accident. I don't believe any of the German luxury sedans can compete from a reliability standpoint with
the Great M series cars.

Howdy folks,

I'm glad I found this forum...it's nice to see so many enthusiasts!

Just bought my 2007 M35x (silver/black with 78k KM) and take possession of it tomorrow. The test drive obviously sold me on the car and I can't wait to drive it on a daily basis.

I'll report back after a week or so to add my thoughts on the car.

Hey guys,

Had my M35 for about 3 weeks now. It started life in California and eventually made its way to me in Texas. Love it! 78,000 miles and cosmetically it's almost perfect. Only things I'm dealing with are the wonky driver's seat and the gas tank that won't fill up all the way. I've read plenty about both issues here. I will wait to deal with the seat until it gets worse but might take it to the dealership for the gas tank (hard as I am not a fan of dealerships).

First things I'm going to do on my own are the ebay brakes and rotors (rotors are WARPED) and the PA-15 NIS ipod connection. Both things I learned about here so THANK YOU! :dblthumb:

The door trim is peeling off the inside of the drivers side door on our 2007 M35. Can I just use contact cement to reattach the trim?
