Welcome to NICOclub! Hope you enjoy the Armada/QX56 Forum!

I personally owned a 2004 QX56 up until January when I bought an '08 Armada. Please feel free to hit me up with any questions on your new beast! I would be glad to help you out with anything or answer any questions!

Hey everyone. I'm new here and don't yet own an Armada or QX56, but am currently in the market. Who'm I kidding, I've been in the market for nearly a year now. I just found the one I want and think I'm ready to buy. Especially after reading all your fine posts on this forum.

I found me a fully loaded '08 with 12k miles on it for about $40k, so I'm going to make the leap and am really looking forward to owning one of these beasts.

I'll post a few pics once I bring the baby home. Thanks to everyone for all the info!

Hi guys. I am new to this site. just bought a 2008 Armada LE and am having trouble with the CF card i bought. It is an 8 GB Extreme III SanDisk. I transfer all my music to it and am able to see it when connected to my PC. However when I plug it into the car most of the folders disappear. Sometimes I see 6 sometimes 9 sometimes 11. Any way I can fix this? or does anyone know what is causing it? I would appreciate any help. Thanks Guys

Welcome stat4u, I'm sure you'll find lots of useful info here just as I did when I purchased my '08 QX56. In answer to your question, Nissan/Infiniti states that the slot only supports CF cards which are 2 GB or smaller. There not a specific reason I can think of to determine which of the folders would be seen, but others here have also mentioned the same issue. I would suspect that if you only used 2 GB of data on the card you might see all your music...but I haven't tested that.

In fact, as CF memory is usually a bit more pricey than SD, so I purchased a SD to CF adapter so I can purchase the less expensive memory cards and play those in the vehicle. I've had no problems with any of the cards I've used in my player as long as they are 2 GB or less.

I hope this helps...there is also a thread here on the boards somewhere with more info, but this is what it boils down to.

Congrats on the purchase of your new ride, and again, welcome to the forum.

I'm the proud owner of my second '04 QX56. I gotta say I love my QX!! Best SUV I've ever had....and I've had a few!

So far I've just done rims, LED lighting-int/ext, and sounds. Working on intake, exhaust etc, and a few other misc personal touches. Gotta save my pennies....haha!

If you have any questions on your '04 QX56, be sure to let me know! I owned one up until about a year ago when I traded it in on an '08 Armada.

Hello everyone,

Happen to come across this site via Google . I had to become a member. I see a lot of great information that's really appreciated/needed. I've recently upgraded from 96 Pathfinder to a 2004 Armada. What a comfortable ride. I bought it just in time for a family trip to the beach.

Thanks,

Jason

Hey all...

Just bought an 07 Armada LE, needed something with good power , towing capacity and looks to match. I bought it less than a week ago and I couldn't be happier. It's 2WD, fully loaded minus nav/rear camera.

Anyways, here to learn more about the Armada platform and I'll try not to mod it...and given my previous track record...that's going to be hard, so I know something's gonna get done to it to make it "mine".

So a lot of reading and researching is bound to happen since this is a completely new platform and type of vehicle for me. It's HUGE and I've been driving compacts my whole life...

Here's the Armada...

Here's what it's going to tow, 1990 Turbo 5.0 Mustang Coupe...

Here's the 3 previous Subarus I owned...yes I love Subaru, yes I love AWD...

My old 2004 STI, 1998 Impreza Wagon, and 2008 STI that I traded for the Armada...

That's all for now...I hope this is a nice n0ob intro...

AWESOME! Welcome to NICOclub! Glad to have you here in our wonderful Armada/QX56 Forum! Is there really any difference in the sound deadening insulation between the '08 and newer Armada and QX56 models?
