In the morning when I drive my car to work (colder weather lately) at around 62-68mph there is this odd squeeking noise that I cannot pinpoint. Its definately in front of me like dashboard/windsheild area. Its extremely annoying and can even be heard over the stereo. Its an 07 g35x, does anyone know what this is and if there is a fix? Thanks!

I have experienced noises from the instrument cluster that are triggered by rough roads. The first instance, two years ago, was a jingling sound as if something was loose inside the cluster. The repair procedure, covered by warranty, was to lubricate the mounting point for the cluster. Now, I have a sharp knock under the same circumstances. The warranty expires next month so I need to have it fixed pretty soon.

Yea its annoying. I can't pinpoint it but I will check the cluster tomorrow on the way to work. Should be cold enough in the morning for it to show itself again. Thanks for the hint!

You were right Kendahl. As soon as I heard the sound this morning I pushed my hand against the cluster cover and the sound stopped. So my question to you is: Is there a part number? Or a is this a known problem that is already in the dealers computers?

I may just drip a little WD40 in the corners to see of that helps.
