Ok so here's what's up, I just changed the oil in my 1990 300zx I went from regular 10-30 to full synthetic 10-30.
Well at cold start you can here absolutely every lifter,this goes on for about 10minutes. Then after a 10mile trip or so you can only here a single lifter,it might be two but I think it's just one. Well so either way it's really driving me nuts and I've tried Lucas And a lot of s*** but it's not working. So I was wondering if in this z32 engine is it ok to run a lighter oil or a thicker oil? Also when i give it had at about 50 mph there's a small rattle that disentangle even last a second And you also hear it when you let off.
Any ideas are appreciated . Also I'm probably gonna just pull the valve covers off tomorrow and force a lot of Lucas on them and change my oil again.

I think I got. I think that because the synthetic is thick until warm up it's not pumping threw the oil pump like it should at start up. So I'm gonna go back to regular and probably something thinner.
