weird hissing noise...

whenever i'm in 3rd and 4th gear, i hear sort of a hissing noise when i drive, it's coming out of the rear of the car....... it sounds like air escaping through something... help me plz

the fuel pump makes a hiss... also check to make sure your EGR hasnt popped out of the hole.

wheres is the EGR located and how do i fix it?

Check your cat, it may be hollowed/rotted out. When mine finished clearing itself out it made a whistling/hissing sound. The only difference was it did it on mid/high rpms, not just 3rd and 4th
