I'm have a crazy problem problem with my 90 Maxima. Nothing electrical in my car works until I start the car. No interior lights, dash lights, door locks, clock, radio, nothing. But as soon as I start the car, everything cuts on and works like it does normally. Everything also shuts off when the car is on acc. I checked all the fuses and they are ok. I'm at wits end. Thanks for your help.

Well, I spoke with a very knoledgable friend, and he said it sounds like somethging with the ignition switch. Maybe look into replacing the switch. If this is something that you have already tried, let me know, and we'll figure it out.

I have the Service Manual for that J-30 I can do some research for you and see what may be causing that problem. I may be wrong, but I'm wondering if it's a relay that's sticking.

I forgot to reply back about the problem. I found out what it was. One on the fusible links on my positive battery cable broke. I got it replaced and all is well again.
