Got a weird noise to report. Only occurs after startup and pulling out into 1st gear. Once I'm in gear, 6 spd MT, and start to move forward, I hear a slight click or thunk. Not when pulling out, after I've started moving. The noise does not replicate when moving once stopped multiple times. It only happens after starting the car during first pull out.

I've turned the car off, started and replicated the noise. No adverse performance effects, just got 33 mpg on my trip to PSU. Other than that the car is working perfect. Is it the EGR valve or something similair changing to adjust for the first pull out/drive of that on/off cycle? Only reason I'm not worried is because nothing has happened to the vehicle and everything appears to work fine.

Just nervous cause this is my first NEW vehicle. Its also my first vehicle with VVT.

I have the same noise! I asked my dealer and they told me it was the ABS but I'm still a little undecided on that answer. None of my other cars made a noise and they all had ABS.

Hmm... I have the ABS noise when its below freezing out. It goes *WIRRR* like mechanical gear noise when powered by an electrical motor. (Think toy chain saw)

When I put my 6 spd. into 1st in the it goes *thunk* as it goes in.

Possible you are hearing the Valves before the oil gets them lubed up real well. Most nissan engines you can hear the valves clicking upon a cold start, pretty normal unless it becomes really loud and then the engine goes boom.
