wee..Getting Sparco Seats...question..

Hey I'm excited cuz my Sparco Evo2 (black) seats are in the mail as we speak. Also my car (1995 240sx) is in the shop getting an S13 SR20DET blacktop swapped into it. So I'm a happy camper. I'm getting my stock tan leather seats swapped out for these 18 lbs Sparco ones, does anyone know how much weight I'll be losing? How much do you think stock leather seats weigh? They seem heavy....

I'm also getting a carbon fiber hood...

i dont know about leather. I have heard the cloth ones are around 30-40 pounds. I would think leather would be like 50 pounds or so. With the hood you will shave another 20 pounds or so, so you might knock off 100 pounds of the weight. I wish i could afford seats right now, but i keep buying more sr parts.

yeah I can't wait to get them installed...I'm trying to think of other ways I could reduce weight...any other ideas. I think I have to keep the stock rear tan leather seats in though.

Spare tire? Jack? Umm, back seat if you dont need it. Rear speakers depending how ghetto you want your car to be. Only have the drivers seat in when you go to track. If you want to get really crazy get a heat gun, and remove all the sound deadning material under the carpet. Thats as far as i would go because i would like my interior to look nice, but you could get rid of all the crapet, and plastic pieces on the floor.

are you going to run into any mounting problems with the Sparco's? i remember hearing people complaining that the brackets do fit and blah blah blah....

You want mine? It needs new drivers side door, front and rear Quarter panels and god only knows what to the frame and suspension, but if you get it before the insurance takes it I'll report it stolen...lol
