Just installed a Weber on my '84 4x4 720. Everything went smooth. Pretty simple really. Any suggestions on how to hook up the EGR or should i just remove it?

Here are some pics:

I got these at an industrial hydraulics shop, I brought in the original egr without the pipe in it. Told them I need a set screw or a plug that is that size and threading.

As far as egr we welded the pipe on the back cuz I couldn't get it to budge. got a bolt hammered it in and welded it closed.

I had an EGR block off for a 240sx and a gasket so I installed those on the back of the intake.

sweet those plugs look great breadbox, didn't think to check a hydraulics shop. I'll have to do some searching, although my method seems to be working pretty good, just not the purdyest

so you just removed all the egr stuff?
has anyone hooked up the vacuum tubes? if so how did you do it? there seem to be two vacuum ports on the egr stuff. wondering if i should just plug them and forget it, or hook one or both up to the weber.

anyway thanks for the info

also I don't think i've ever posted pictures of my truck. here's a couple i have at the moment.

Nice, I'm always fond of the ridiculous 1980s graphics, like the giant 4x4 on the doors.

yeah i don't think the guy i bought off of ever threw a rock or anything, for that matter, into the bed. I've already messed it up more then he ever did and he had since '86.

i know gotta love the ridiculous graphics. 4X4 YEAH!!!!!!
they have grown on me, at first i wasn't into it but i like it now. plus i'm sure if i took them off you would still be about to see them from sun bleach.

A bit off topic, but since breadbox expressed interest..

The EGR pipes can be blocked using the M22-1.5 oil drain plug from a 1980 bmw 320i. $2.49 from advance, but has to be ordered.

The o2 sensor (for anyone who's interested) can be blocked using the M18-1.5 oil drain plug from a 1986 toyota tercel. Similar price in price, but available in store.

The pacesetter headers are apparently universal for all years/models of 720, so i had a number of bungs i had to cork. Just passing it on.

Yeah, I just installed my Weber and hooked up the EGR as per instructions. Seems to be running good. The vacuum line from the EGR goes to the "capped" line on the passenger side of the carb. It has a small screw in it that you will need to remove.

you can get rid of all those vac lines and put a breather on the valve cover. see my thread or pezi's as to what you can do in terms of deletion. Less is more! Furthermore. Anyone found what size plug will fit wherer the tvt valve is on the intake? I'm thinking its very metrics

Wish I knew the dimensions... I know it is indeed metric, but I am not sure what thread or pitch. All I know is the gauge kit I have had a fitting that went in there, and that hole is now there my water temp thermometer is.
