ok so I am tired of playing with these hitachies.  I have a new remanufactured one  in for warrenty work, it took a crap when it came to me and yesterday my old one which was rebiult a couple of months ago and only has 1000 miles on it took a crap and left me stranded on the hyway.

So here is the question are the 32 36 webbers worth it and how are they on gas doyou still get the same gas milage?

Half of the stuff on the hitachy does not work will it adversly affect it to remove the stuff and go with only the two vacums for the egr and distibutor?

confused and pissed I need that truck to run.

I'll let you know.

I put one on my 620 yesterday. Maybe it's the 98 degree weather I was working in but, now my brain is fried. I can't figure out where the air leak is comming from on the carb that's making my truck run a WFO throttle as soon as I turn the key.

I don't know what I missed. Guess I'll have to tear it down again and start all over.

take some carb cleaner and spray in different areas around the carb and where the idles goes up is where your vaccum leak is.  make sure all your extra vaccum ports on the manifold that you are not using are sealed up good.

good luck lance

I responded to your same post on 1 of the Yahoo groups. Your mileage will go down a bit but its worth the power gain. My advice is to buy it new so theres no guessing. Phiz, i had the same prob. on my 32/36 I ended up gooping some RTV sealer at the base of the carb/adapter plate & it idle'd / ran  fine after that.

How did you know I went against my best judgement and actually followed the instuctions provided in the Redline Weber kit?

"...coat it with grease or a suitable gasket sealer (Silicone or RTV is NOT suitable)."

I'll be gooping away tomorrow.;)
