2008 G37 Coupe. I pushed something i shouldn't have? While driving, something beeps 4 times every 2 to 2 1/2 minutes. Would really appreciate knowing what the cause is.

Thanks,

Welcome to NICO!

You'll have to be more descriptive of what you pushed and what the beeps are. Not sure what it could be off the top of my head. Maybe the E brake or trunk???

No idea what (or if ) I pushed. Not E break or trunk. Just noticed it happens when the ignition is "ON". Don't know how to describe the beeps except, "beep, beep, beep, beep". No warning lights are on; doors, hood, trunk are closed; seat belt is on, etc. Am going to feel even more of a fool if I have to go to a dealer.

Without knowing what you pushed, dealer might be the best bet. Does it do it every time you drive it?

After spending some time trying to figure it out, I have realized that it does it all the time. I was in the garage and heard it beep, so I waited and it beeped every 2 min or so even with the engine off and the doors closed. I followed the manual instructions to disconnect the battery (neg post) to see if something would reset, and now the drivers window goes down when you open the door, and will not go back up unless the motor is running.

Joe 703, thanks for your interest. After I reconnected the battery, the beeps continued. However, after I reprogramed the windows, the beeps stopped. Have no idea how they could possibly be related, especially since the windows worked fine prior the the battery disconnect, but...

Check page 3 of the owner's manual as it has a chart of beeps/chimes and what they mean. Sounds like taking it to the dealer may be the best bet if yours is doing something other than what's in the owners manual.
