Sig has you covered.

Pretty sweet. I could see locking a Glock 22 in there with a one-point sling and picking up some more high capacity mags.

So what you are saying is you would rather have a mech tech carbine? :chuckle:

For my money, if I was willing to go the SBR route with all the paperwork and s*** I would get a kriss.

.those are interesting. just too damn bulky for what it is.

rather have an sbr on an AR platform. wonder how that works concerning the uppers. It'd be fun to have a 5.56, 6.8spc and maybe a .50 Beowulf in SBR form.

I would rock my 6.8 in a short barreled SBR or slap a folder on my Sig pistol if I wanted to deal with the extra BS.

ive been contemplating getting a lone wolf frame and a mechtech.

though a Glock 20 might be awesome. i bet 10mm from a longer barrel kicks a**.

Might be worth looking into the ballistics on that. I think a 10mm would be smoking out of a long barrel especially if it's not the weaker-packed new stuff.

i like the magpul folding carbine. but this might fit my sig and justify me having 2x pistols.

Not sure why I keep walking into gun stores. I always find stuff I want.

Oh yeah!

My XDm seems to lock into the chassis.

Image

This is the enhanced model which adds the one-point bungee sling and red dot optic to the basic chassis.

Image
Image

The optic has a anti-reflection shroud which is cool.

Image

Inside the chassis a shroud engages the front of the gun's slide and you can thus rack the pistol's slide with the side-mounted charging handle. It's reversible if you are a southpaw.

This thing looks badass, but awkward as hell to handle... Have you taken it to the range, and do you have the stock they sell for it?

Totally agree. By definition, assault rifles must be fully automatic. Ignorance... worse than stupidity.

I just got back. The pistol cycles fine as it should since it's essentially only attached to the chassis at points that don't move. There are no problems with the shell interfering with brass ejecting either. The rear coupler does press against the joint where your thumb meets the hand and it is annoying. Racking the slide takes a manly pull too. I saw one review where he stated about 35 lbs to do it. I concur; you need to grab it like you mean it and snatch decisively.

I was shooting an XDm 3.8 compact in .40SW and muzzle flip was nonexistent with the unit attached. This gun already shoots like butter, but the extra weight of the chassis with the bungee sling pulling on it makes it feel like a .22.

The red dot shoots low as hell and I ran out of adjustment for it. The kit comes with rail shims so I will try running the adjustment back to zero and shimming it.

The LE model is available with a stock, but you would have to play NFA games since you just created an SBR and there is still some ambiguity as to whether the NFA item is the chassis or the gun you lock into it. The chassis is not a serialized item. If it's the pistol you would have to worry about reversing the SBR status if you tried to sell it without the chassis and you open yourself up to constructive possession if you have other railed pistols in the house. Even this configuration without the stock presents that CP danger since affixing a foregrip to it kicks in the NFA silliness and I have foregrips on my ARs.

It's a different animal. If that's what you're after, get that Keltec thing. That's a whole gun.

Eeeh those are a good idea too. I think what I really need is an M1 carbine with the wire collapsible stock.
