Hi I have a 2001 maxima vq35de and its a front wheel drive I was wondering if the transmission from the 350z that is the same vq35de but different year and also is a manual where as the maxima is a automatic I was wondering if the tranny from the 350z would fit on the maxima engine

Are you trying to use a maxima engine in a 250z? or a 350z trans in a maxima? The maxima motor is rated for a few less hp, the intake, exhaust, cams, oil pan and all accessories are different but at it's core the block and heads are the same. If you are trying to make a rwd maxima you'll need to do lots of cutting and welding and it would be far easier to just buy a g35 sedan.
