seems like everyone i'm going to is saying that bluebat's vinyl overlays are impossible to put on...

i then direct them to his photobucket... and they shut up... but the problem is i'm not tryin to disprove them... i need it done!

anyone knows where i can go in or around the GTA to get these put on...

last last last resort i will try to install them myself...

My overlays and Bats can be put on properly... It takes a skilled hand though... Experience helps!

My overlays are 1/2 off the 2nd set if you botch the install though.

hey pree I am in guelph i am awaiting my second set. i think Dacoupe did a good job on his we are trying to setup a meet go to the following link

http://forums.altimas.org/zero...timas

We got 13 people signed up need some more.

watch the videos. I know after the first one you get the hang for it.

When they say be prepared to spend 1.5 to 2 hours per light its for real.

And LBC's half price second lot is bailing me out .

Someone needs to tell me how to get the lip on the light to work properly!!!!

the little dip just needs to be heated and pushed in... make sure you go INTO the groove rather than just OVER it.

did you try contacting Bat? I know he has a list of his "approved" shops and people all over the country that he can refer you to.

I put on BlueBat's overlays (eyelids) in the wind with soapy water and a cloth. Done. Tails I havent done though... might be more difficult.

I got LBC's GTR tail overlays. I installed them myself and got a few wrinkles. I found it nearly impossible to cover the small outer side of the taillight. I must say it was not a fun install, i'm not sure how many hours i spent on them. After 2h into the install i nearly ripped them off coz it was so frustrating...lol.

They look SWEET when you get them on. Well worth the install time. I'm actually waiting for a second set from LBC, gtr tails with just the holes cut out so i have plenty of slack to work around the taillight. I sure hope the install goes better the second time around. I'll let you guys know if the uncut gtr is easier to install, and if i can do it fast enuff, i'll try to make a vid

Tips, be extremely patient, lol. And use minimal heat, particularly only heating the bends.

wow...

and yea i test fitted the tint... and notice tha side of the tail light goes from a bend to a FLAT surface... when i tried to put the overlay on it seemed like bat didn't leave enough tint to place it on there properly...also there are 2 slits under the cutouts (gtr style taillights) are these supposed to line up? or overlap?

thought this would be a simple install... smh.

Yes, slits are supposed to be there, they line up. (slits on the bottom) I had initially thought that i had the slits teh wrong way becuz i had such a hell of a time with the small side of the taillight.

Whats that supposed to mean DAAN?

Last time I checked I was the quality material, machine precision, and value price with excellent customer service.

The way i read that is that you should expect to have to purchase them twice (1 at full price + shipping and 1 at 1/2 price + Shipping= 1.5x +2x) because they are a pain to install and you will inevitably ruin the first set.

It is ... it should be installed by a professional. If first time installer, most likely will be a repeat client.

I ordered overlays and had a shop put them on. They did a horrible job!! The blamed all the curves on the taillights. I told them to rip them off and had them painted. Not worth the trouble-too many shops will have an excuse as to why they are creases. Veyr happy with the paint.

matey*... lol it's my girls account and car...

she just asked me to research it out... i just got off the phone with the 4th guy and he flopped on me... said he wasn't 100% sure and so he doesn't want to be the one to ruin it...

she is obviously paranoid after i showed her this thread that she could be out 100$...

either way ill shoot you a pm boss.
