I was told that if you get a new motor you can have something done to get the motors vin to match your cars vin. Can you really do that??? Isnt the vin embosed on the motor???

Yes, it can be done. you have to take it to the proper authorities (PD Highway Patrol?) and they have to verify that the motor isn't stolen. then they do a bunch of other stuff. I'm not sure exactly how it all works (obviously) but I do know it can be done. Just not how. Hope that helps.

Do u think id be able to do it with an sr20det or would i get into trouble being that it cant pass federal emissions.
