My passenger window motor died so, So I purchased a new regulator. Service manual, youtube videos, searches of goofle and nissan boards all had the same answer. Lower the indow use access holes to remove the 2 bolts attaching the regulator to the window, and if you need to move it reattach the switch and move it up or down. Ok my error it's had inttermittent eppisodes of not working I should of just changed it. However if anyone else makes the same dumb mistake I did there here was my solution.
I removed the regulator screws allowing some movement. Next I taped the window up just in case, I was then able to get my hand through and remove the rear window screw with a 10mm end wrench. Hard as I tried I could not get to the front one. However I was able to move, pivot the regulator towards the front of the car and get a pair of wire cutters through to cut the cable. Then soliciting my wifes help to hold the window while I removed the tape then loweret it to point I could remove the final screw. Regulator came out and I raised and retaped the window. 2016 Altima

Good solution. Cutting the cable is usually the right way to go, because almost all recent Nissan regulators are cable drive. I have a special double-bend hook tool I use to snare the cable out of the channel and get a dikes on it, but lacking that, tilting the regulator to get better access is usually the right approach. Good job.
